I agree with Nascar on this one. How much I like to see the Sprint cup series drivers racing that series but they need to let the younger and newer drivers a chance to better themselves.

So if a so called cup driver wins every race next year, they still are not the champ. This is almost as silly as the chase for the championship. NASCLAP just keeps on shooting themselves in the foot.

How dense do u need to be not to understand that? If not for the way they draw attention for that series, I wouldn't suggest they be on the track at all.

It will be interesting to see if Brad & Carl will now run a full NW schedule. before end of 2010 season , they both said they would but things have changed.!!!!!!!!!

If the points aren't going to count, seems like the better solution to the problem would be to not allow any driver to drive in more than one of the NASCAR series. On the other hand, the way Kyle Busch was driving last season, it would be fun to watch someone with that kind of talent sweep the top three NASCAR championships in one season. Imagine what the could do for the sport. Not sure if this move is going to improve the ratings, or if NASCAR is just shooting themselves in the foot, again.

Why not band Jimmy Johnson from racing period. He has no competion and gets all the right breaks from nascar. He makes racing look pretty boring!!!

First of all we are on the same page. You see, way back when the cup series was known as the grand national series and the nationwide series was known as the sportsman series the GN drivers had to run x amount of sportsman races the previous year on half and quarter mile tracks to be allowed to run on the bigger tracks with the sportsman guys, and it worked. Read carefully, AMA flat track motor cycle racing at one time you started as a novice, than junior, than expert, than national number, the saying was ONCE AN EXPERT YOU COULD NEVER GO BACK think about it. You see kid, today NASCAR ( the family ) is all about MONEY, racing is secondary. Suggestion, go out and buy Smokey Unick's book THE BEST DAMN GARAGE IN TOWN, i think you will understand some things better.

Nascar completely destroyed the cup and Busch series with all of the rule changes and the car of tomorrow. When they forced out Jimmy Spencer and some of the other veterans and brought in the pretty boys just for the sponsors, that was the end of Nascar.

I see it kinda like a high school football team. You have your freshmen and sophmores playing JV and the juniors and seniors play varsity. You build your teams future on your JV talent, as one class moves out, another is ready to advance on to varsity. Its a simple thing. Thats what the lower two divisions are for, driver development. And this move will allow more new talent in on a regular basis. Just exactly what would Kyle Busch sweeping all three series do for the sport? And how could seeing someone dominate that much in one season be any fun to watch? Its hard enough watching the 48 team do what they do? I like for it to be anybodys race to win, not just Kyle or Jimmy. Multiple winners in a season would be much more fun....dont you think?

The greedmiesters running NASCAR want cup drivers to race in the Nationwide series for attendance and TV ratings, but they can't win a championship. More BS from the bozos running NASCAR
