Kasey was pretty upbeat on the scanner all day. He ony dropped the f bomb once because the car was loose and they could not seem to tighten it up. Kenny apologized to him for making the call to pit on the first caution. Kasey seemed a little frustrated because the car was not where it was in practice due to the green race track. That is a trend I have noticed. It seems like every time they have a good car in practice it rains and screws up the whole set up.

All in all though what a great day. Kasey came on the radio after and siad thanks for the great effort and noted that Phoenix was his worst track and they came home 6th.

I can't help but think about how pretty they'd be sitting right now had it not been for the roter issue at Daytona. They would probably be top 3 in points. I have to give Kasey a ton of credit. It seems like no matter what car they put him in he can get results.

those redbull cars were always stout on the 1.5 tracks. It always seemed when kasey was in the top five or racing for a win at one of those tracks so was vickers.. i cant wait to watch him at charlotte again, i think hes gonna be back to his old form again..

Never mind Charlotte....how about Vegas this weekend? You are right about the Red Bull Cars being stout on those tracks but I can't ever remember seeing them up front at the plate tracks or tracks like Phoenix. Kasey Steps in and look at them. I have never been one to give my driver more credit than others and think they are the greatest just because they are my favorite but Kasey deserves a lot of credit. He seems to be competative no matter what they put him in.

I heard some announcer say that Red Bull has one win in its history. I honestly can't remember it. Does anyone know what race they won? It's early to start thinking this way but I will be the first to start the debate. Kasey was a SOLID top 10 on both races so far this year and one of those was on a track where he normally runs terrible. What if they run this way all year long and win some races and in the hunt for the cup? I am not saying that I think this is going to happen but they do have me intrigued. If they win 3 or 4 races and finish high in the points could Kasey really leave to go to another team? Personally I think he needs to no matter what because he has a contract and I want to see him there anyway because that is where the long term stability is but this year may turn out to be more interesting than I thought.

vickers won at michigan two years ago... another cookie cutter so to say.. and yes thats it... lol i think kasey is gonna be in contention for a few wins this year as well.. we all have kenny francis to credit though... when kasey had the other idiot as his crew chief last year...wow... thank god hes got kenny again.. it might not be kasey who helps redbull progress but all the info sharing from kenny!! they already know how to set up a car for the 1.5 tracks, imagine when kenny gets a hold of the setup and tweaks it to his liking.. oh boy!! watch kasey go!! lol
i wasnt at first, but i am amped for this year!!!
havent been this excited since 2006!!

i was just mentioning charlotte, because kasey used to own that track..even jimmy gave him praise for knocking him off the block before kasey owned it, jimmy did. 2 out of the three times kasey won it in 2006, jimmy finished second to him. thats bragging rights for anyone!
