I know this topic has nothing to do with Kasey, but can you guys keep North Carolina and South Carolina in your thoughts and prayers? Tropical Storm Hanna is forcasted to make landfall somewhere along the border of the two states. Right now they believe the storm is intensifying and will probably become a hurricane before it hits. I'm evacuating and going back home to Raleigh, but I know there are a lot of impoverished people and a great number of homeless people living in Wilmington that cannot afford to stay elsewhere during the storm. Please keep these people in your prayers! Also please pray that my dorm room doesn't get destroyed! lol
Thanks guys!:)

I'm praying Ike doesn't come here! The latest forcast shows it just hitting central to northern Florida.

Are they going to have to evacuate? I keep thinking about Hurricane Fran that hit NC in 1996. That was a category 3 and it destroyed houses and flooded in Raleigh, even though it's not even on the coast. Ike is a cat 4, isn't it? Geez.:( That's so scary.:(

I haven't asked yet. Will do as the track becomes clearer. In the past, they've stayed put.

For the most part, our meteorologists are saying that it will most likely go across central Florida and into the Gulf of Mexico. However, this a really minute chance it could cross Florida, go into the gulf, and cross Florida again. That's what scares me, since if it did that it could strengthen and go back up the eastern coast.

The site I trust the most, accuweather.com has it going south of Florida and into the gulf.Of course, that could change at any moment but if it holds course as they now show,I feel sorry for the folks in New Orleans.

I do too. They've definitely had enough already. I feel bad for the people in Turks and Caicos (or however that's spelled). I think all 3 storms have blown over them.
