Entertainment is a big part of Cup racing...

Local track is where the real action is. Support your local racer and local tracks! Those guys are out there because of their love for the sport. They work hard and they race hard...

small tracks is where all the drivers come from,if a lot of these weekend warriors had the equipment they would beat the cup drivers if jeff choquette had the sponsors he would be as good as kyle he already beat him in lakeland fl.

Well, for one thing, running the torch would take a lot less time... Although the swimsuit segment would be a mess...

As for the argument of cup vs. local, the two are so dissimilar it's like comparing Cup to Motocross. Just a completely different world and science between the two. Believe me, short tracks have their share of controversy and drama.

Without a doubt! They'd give up more than that for a cup or even a Nationwide ride...

Even know of one guy that tossed out the Race-Card to keep racing, now he's got a Craftsman Truck ride...

A lot of them would sell their soul to move up to the big league...

I think that the issue boils down to whether you view the Olympics as celebrating physical or mental prowess and achievement. If you think it is just physical prowess, why do we have things like shooting, archery, and equestrian events? If you think the mental aspects of shooting and other such events are worthy of the Olympics, then how is that any different from the intense mental concentration and hand/eye coordination required of motorsports?

I actually go into this in more depth in one of my posts if you're interested: http://www.pansypatrol.com/should-motorsports...

Hell; I'm STILL trying to figure out "Curling'- excuse any wrong spelling. Figure skating puts me to sleep. I'm not interested in basketball - all the Pros play now anyway.....why not NASCAR. It beats smackin that stone down an alley with sticks!!!
