Allmendinger breath-tested before NASCAR practice

TALLADEGA, Alabama - NASCAR driver A.J. Allmendinger was required to take a breath test before Friday's practice for the Amp Energy 500 at Talladega Superspeedway following his arrest on a drunken driving charge.

I read an article that Richard Petty has to make the decision whether or not he's going to put AJ in the 43 car next year. He really likes the guy but he's very adament about how his drivers conduct themselves. Hope it all works out and this isn't the end of Aj's career.

Seems like they have decided. RPM fined him 10k that will be donated to charity and they have put him on probation through the end of the 2010 season. Seems like he'll be in the car if they've put him on probation through the end of 2010.
