Jr fans can quit dreaming.
They are probably rethinking all the comments they made last week about how the leader should get all these advantages going into the chase. Be guarenteed points leader regardless of those with more wins. Like choice of pit box for first 3 races. or start on pole for first 3 or so races.

Whos dreaming?? Jr being 4th in points now only 17 out of first aint to shabby. Jr was running 10th when he spun in the oil on the track so he had a better than usual run at The Glen. Even Jeff Gordon had a good run and spun in that mess. Not to mention Kyle Busch who clearly had the best car lost out because of oil. I hated that for him, he needs a win. And as far as rethinking my comments about Jr, not happening Barr, he still has just a good of a chance to contend for the championship as anyone that makes the chase. NASCARs rules are what they are, regardless of whos in first place. Im sure if your driver was in first it would be all good wouldnt it??

Hey Uncle John! It is my opinion that any "lead" the 48 has on ANY other driver will be next to impossible to over come. The only way it will happen is if, a driver pulls off last year's Tony Stewart run or the 48 has mechanical issues. That's how I see it and I'm not that fond of Jimmie, just reality. Good to hear from you again John.

Jimmie in the lead, there is no way anyone is going to over take him. He never has bad races. As for Jr, it's going to take some wins and he isn't capable. I'd hate to see JJ win again as much as any non-Hendrick fan but i don't see it happening.
In a way I'd like to see Jr win it this year and let NASCAR be done with it. It's getting real old.

#1 in the points - #1 in the hearts...ok, 1 out 2 ain't bad. And, as of right now #1 when the Chase starts. JJ is letting it be known, people. He wants 8 championships. He'll settle for his 6th this year.

The only good thing about it is that it's not a done deal yet....but just running the rest of the season is all that matters...

Very well put hatch!! Im just interested to see what happens. Ill be happy for any driver that wins the championship. Naturally, being a 88 fan it would be a bit sweeter to see him win, but, I really dont want to hear all the excuses so many will come up with sayin it was all fixed if, and I say if Jr was to win. The 48 team is strong, they always are, JJ wants 8 so its gonna be hard to contend with that team for sometime.
