Denny Hamlin: 'NASCAR Drivers Should Be Making NBA, NFL Money'
NASCAR star Denny Hamlin said he believes Monster Energy Cup Series drivers are "underpaid" and should receive salaries closer to NBA and NFL athletes. On Wednesday, Bob Pockrass of ESPN.com noted NASCAR competitors receive "typically seven-figure" deals and Hamlin thinks that falls short based on several factors.

Ratings are down, it’s getting more and more difficult to find team sponsors, most drivers have two, three, four or more major sponsors at this point. Drivers in that “back half” of the pack should be glad they even have a ride doing something they love, if they are making a few hundred thousand a year. Be happy.
Our cops make somewhere in the mid 30’s. So don’t feel like your risks are somehow more special that theirs because you do it on TV. What an entitled, self important dipshit!
If you ask me, they don’t need a raise, the NFL, NBA and MLB, needs a paycut! None of these people are worth a hundredth of what they are making!
