i thought Hendrick was smarter than that, he's going to sacrafice the other 3 teams to try to make 1 better, like i've been saying, he could give Jr a jet engine every week and he will still mess up and finish in the mid 20s

Dale Jr is driving the same illegal cars that the top 3 and the top 5 out of 10 are driving. If Hendrick wants to fix the #88, he needs to replace the driver.

I think it would be hilarious if Jr. got Chad and JJ's crew for a few races. When Jr. still hit the wall or slid thru his pit, etc. the spotlight would be directly on HIM, where it should have been from the start. I don't believe for a min. that Hendricks hasn't put the best equipment and people with Jr. Until he finds that store that sells driver talent, it's not happening. Chad and JJ have the chemistry, just like Smoke and Zippy or Ray and Gordon. The only one that could make Jr. perform on the track is dead and gone.

The only way they are ever going to get joonyer competitive is if they get a good remote control, so the crew chief can take over when joonyer runs out of talent with 50 laps to go and starts dropping like a rock. NASCAR could mandate the 88 car to have 4" roundbar bumper all the way around the car so juhnyer can just run up against the wall for 500 miles and finish the race without wadding up the car.

Why would he be sacrificing the other three teams? Their on top of they're game. I think its good that he's going to work on the 88 team and get them on track (pun intended) with the rest of the teams.

Only an idiot would do that. 88 & company has to find their own chemistry and make things happen not take away from professional winning teams inside and out.

Rick Hendrick has no choice but to throw everything in his resources bag to try to put the 88 team into the top ten. The 48, 5 & 24 teams can and will be top contenders next year, those teams can carry themselves. The 88 team cannot seem to find their way at all. If there isn't an improvement next year, then HMS has a way out. I'm sure that 88 tee shirt sales are still good, but I feel safe in saying that JJ's sales have jumped while jr's have fallen off. The 88 team was a complete embarassment to HMS, and if it happens again, tee shirt sales or not, I would bet that jr will be seen cleaning out his locker.

They would say some crap like, Chad is intentionally sabotoging the 88 team so he can get back with Jimmie. The spotlight will never be on him in Junior Nations eyes.

Rick Hendrick knows Jr is a no-talent SOB, but he's making a fortune off Jr Nation, so he has to make it look like it's not Jr's fault he can't drive.

they won't be on top of their game if all the focus is on the 88. i know Jr needs help but you can't just throw away the other 3 teams

they've already proven they don't need Rick's focus. They can get it done without his help. I mean, come on, 1,2,3 in the championship whats to focus on?

they need to focus on staying 1,2,3. i think Roush and Gibbs will be better next year. besides, Jr fans will still buy hats and t-shirts no matter where he finishes. they'll buy his stuff because he has a good personality

Couldn't have said it better myself. Chad would get blamed for giving him bad setups, bad adjustments, bad pit calls, bad tires, bad engines, bad transmissions, bad brakes,.....is this starting to sound familiar....the jooonyer nation allegations will never cease.

Jooonyer owns his own Nationwide team that he can't win it. I wonder who's fault that is?

At what point does Jr take responsibility for his own life? At what point do they make him give up his party lifestyle and focus on work. Ok, Jr you got a pass for the first 11 years, now hang up the "beek Keager" mentality, it is not a compliment for a middle aged man to be acting like a teenager.

He needs a big sponsor to pay off Nascar like Lowe's,Dupont.
They can put Millions in to sponsorship, and pay their employees minimum wage without benefits with part time jobs.

Now Sarah,
A party lifestyle would mean doing it every night or every other night, at least that's my opinion. You are not with him, neither am I but I believe that we'd see/hear about this and we don't. He doesn't have a party lifestyle, he is concentrating on racing. Just not producing results. As far as the acting like a teenager, well I'm not there but he does do a lot of game playing. So to that end, maybe a little like a teenager, but I think it's his way of coping.
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving

Junior can drive, he has in the past, his recored isn't that bad from the inset of his career. Maybe he's not Jimmy, but he's also not Waltrip. I can't understand what is wrong and I don't think he knows either. Maybe confidence has gone, maybe because of all the people putting him down so. If you are a fan of his, stop underminding everything he does and give him encouragement. How would you feel if people treated you like you all treat him on this discussion group. It's really sad, I would hate to be him. I just hope he gets better and helps NASCAR out and hope someone stops Jimmy, no matter who. Tired of him winning all the time, boring.......
