Why Does Mayfield Want to Go Back to a Dying Sport?

The stands at Indy wasn't even half full last year. Every race you see a lot of empty seats were they used to be jam packed. The NHL is now more popular than NASCAR in America. Everyone I know who watched NASCAR doesn't even watch it anymore, including me. Heck, I didn't even know who won the championship last year until I accidentally went to an article on the Internet on New Year's Day.

So why is Jeremy so hellbent on returning to this scab of an organization?

Jeremy; I would think there is more of a future in the junk business than NASCAR.

You certainly know a lot about a sport you profess to not watching or even following. I think you're a liar so who cares what you think? No One.

All you have to do is look. Daytona is being down sized, and all the others should be, by maybe 1/2. NASTYCAR got too greedy in the late 90's early 2000 years, now they are paying. I have not watched a whole race since 2009, and no one cares what you think either...LIVERMORE...what kind of town would be named that? L8R. DD.

When I went to dover in the 90's, the stands were full. Louden was full. Now they are half empty. Bruton Smith should start his own series, he has enough tracks, bring racing back to the completion of the eighties

The downfall for me, who watched nascar since 1989, was the car of tomorrow and Jimmie Johnson. Good for him but the racing was awful for 8 years and 9 including this year, even with gen 6 . The cars look great great but the racing sucks period.....

The racing sucks no fought. If you offered me the best tickets for a race at Charlotte for 10 bucks I wouldn't take them. My last race was 2005 world 600 I was bored to death andI have been arace fan all my life. I'll listen to it on the radio but ill never go to another one

As soon as Jeremy mayfield comes back to racing .. I will watch the sport again whether its nationwide , trucks , or sprint series he comes back to!! I'm a huge fan of his and watching him race at the Nashville Fairgrounds got me into racing !! Now with him out ... I don't watch racing!!
Hopefully he will go through the rehab even if he didn't do meth to prove to the viewers and sport that he needed back into racing!! So come on back Jeremy!!!
