New Game

Hey! The Hoosier Lottery is coming out with a new game! It's called 'Plug a Thug'! It is a weekly drawing to be held on Sunday nights.

The object of the game is to correctly match which of 50 felonies or misdemeanors which Pacer player will be charged with that weekend.

Sounds like a great game that could be just the shot-in-the-arm the francise needs!

Stupid %&$* Pacers can't even do one thing right. Just LOSE you morons. Geez, how will they get a lottery pick if these idiots win occassionally. I want them to lose every game from here on out to have a chance at one of the top picks in the draft. But then again, Bird would screw that up as well.

Losing is a virus. Once you install that in the culture it will take a decade or more to undo. And that's why this Sonic team is going to be in trouble too. They are tanking and getting rid of their veterans for a high draft pick and their move. But its going to cost them mostly through Kevin Durant's development. I'll take thugs, brawls, mediocrity and even a shot at the 8th seed over losing any day.

I like the guys that are currently playing. They play hard, share the ball. Too bad they can't defend.
But until we can clear out the bad apples(Tinsley, Harrison, Daniels, Williams) I don't think anyone will be watching or care.

This team has one thing to do the rest of the season and that is lose and they can't even do that right. The Pacers finally ran in to a team that plays less defense than they do. I guess we should continue to support Dunleavy scoring 30 points a game so his horrible contract actually may look good on the open market and he can be traded for someone that plays defense. Typical Dunleavy, score, play 0 defense and come up big in meaningless games. n At least he keeps quiet and out of trouble. As long as he can shoot at will and not be held accountable for his horrible defense he is a happy man.

This is great! What a profoundly satisfying set of expectations.

"As bad as things have been from a losing standpoint, if we put some wins together we can still have a feeling of a successful season with a chance to play one of the elite teams in the East and win a couple of games."

A new rallying cry. "We're number eight!" "We only got blown out of the first round of the playoffs a little."

Next year, the team returns to training camp with s fresh set of expectations. "Dare we hope for 7th place and a 4-3 first round exit? LeBroon is such a classy player; it's an honor to lose to him."

Lottery-Shmottery. It's more important to have a dream!

Mike Dunnleavy having a long term contract is starting to look like a good thing. I know he only has medium foot speed and his defense needs some work, but Reggie Miller was the same way. Mike has improved all season long and is looking like a bright spot in a very dark and cloudy season. Say what you will, but this dude can shoot the lights out when he gets hot. Good game by Puff Daddy who had more blocked shots and rebounds than fouls. I'm still shaking my head. Murray looks like he's starting to fit in nicely and Jeff Foster continues to show he belongs on the floor. I just can't bring myself to hope that the team will lose. They have done enought of that already.

Mike Dunleavy HAS to get the Most Improved Player of the Year award.

He has been lights out this year and I am proud to have him on The Pacers.

I met him at a Colts game too and he was a nice guy.

I agree. I like Diener, Dunleavy, Foster and Granger. Tinsley, Harrison, Daniels and Williams should be let go. They aren't really doing the Pacers any good except making bad publicity for the team and the city.

Here's an idea. How about you just stop having anything to do with the Pacers. You obviously know nothing about the guys that we are currently have on the floor if you think they are going to roll over. Watch a game and then voice your opinion. I wonder how this team could do with some actual hometown support.

It does no good at this point to hope that the Pacers lose their remaining games. The bad teams in the league are so horrible that there would be no way to "catch them". Even if they lose 90% of the remaining games, I still see 6 teams that would have worse records. In the lottery, that gives them a weighted chance of about 5% for a top 3 pick. There are rarely more than 3-4 early impact players available in the draft, so the Pacers wouldn't have a chance to draft them anyway. Might as well take a shot at the playoffs. Worst thing that could happen is be swept by the Celtics, which would be expected. Best outcome...knock off a team with the best record in the East and watch those sorry Boston fans suffer again in 2008!

Why aren't Diogu and Williams getting any minutes? I know most people have the Foster love, but I'm not one of them. He has zero low post moves, he throws up wild shots around the basket that very seldom go in and starting+mucho minutes kills his contribution of energy from the bench.
Come on O'Brien play Diogu and give Harrison more minutes, atleast you'll have a better feel for what's goona happen next year, and if Williams is in your doghouse don't even suit him.
Announced crowd last night of 11,000, actual butts in the seats, maybe 7,000. Here's a hint Larry, one (right) player can turn a franchise around.....but you're gonna have to spend some bucks to make it happen, becuase you have nothing to trade and you're not gonna get much from the deaft.

I agree on playing Diogu, but you can bench Harrison and Williams.

Give Diogu Harrison's minutes and give Stephen Graham Williams' minutes.

and as far as Foster goes, you can play him 48 minutes every night. He is a rebounding, hustling, scrapping machine.
