There are 2 comments on the Scene Daily story from Mar 14, 2008, titled Elliott out, Green in for Wood Brothers' No. 21 Ford. In it, Scene Daily reports that:

“As we've done with Bill ever since we started this arrangement, I call him every week before finalizing our entry blank and ask him if he still wants to race for the coming week”

BRISTOL, Tenn. Wood Brothers Racing has put Jeff Green in its No. 21 Ford this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway, a move that endangers the team if qualifying is rained out. via Scene Daily

As a die-hard fan of Bill for many, many years, I say that it is time for him to say good-bye. I don't know why the flop in schedule ( Bristol/Martinsville) but this really screwed the 21 team. If Bill is too busy or just doesn't want to race anymore that is fine, just say so.

Good for Jeff, not so good for Bill, but I'd say that even Awesome Bill from Dawsonville would admit that its Jeff Green's turn. Too bad about the weather though!
