Is this a true story because if it is I thought once a male was neutured, he lost all interest in mating and would not be able to "perform" also, I thought all dogs get "stuck" and will not be released until the female allows it to happen - it's a "normal" part of the mating process

You did the worst thing possible. Maybe you should learn a little more about doggie behavior and have let the encounter run its course.

Pet dogs should be spayed or neutered.

But on the other hand, the laws that want to force spaying and neutering encompass responsible breeders who breed dogs for show, performance and as assistance dogs for the blind and people with other disabilities.

The driving forces behind mandatory spaying and neutering are PETA and HSUS. Wayne Pacelle, the President of HSUS doesn't have pets and doesn't think anyone should own them. He sees mandatory spay/neutering as the way to end pet ownership. He is quoted that mandatory spaying and neutering will accomplish this in one generation if they can get it passed all over the country.

I'm not a gun advocate in any way. I use my dogs as my watchdogs and early alert system for people who might want to break into my house. Now people are trying to take away my right to own a dog?

If responsible breeders cannot breed their dogs, we will still have dogs in the country. They will come from puppy mills where bitches are bred until they are near death. If puppy mills are outlawed in the U.S., then they will come from puppy mills in Mexico where bitches are being bred to death.

We will always have dogs in dog shelters. Since the fad to adopt a shelter dog became so widespread, some shelters are so short on dogs they are importing them from other regions of the country (e.g. Missouri where the puppy mills are located) or even from out of the country such as Puerto Rico and Mexico.
