We are doing our best to turn Columbus Ohio into West Virginia up North. Come on folks. REally???? A Casino and now a race track??? We are going to see a revival in trailer parks I fear. What's next ??? Tank tops and cut off jeans? So sad.

To all you naysayers I have been going to Eldora for years before Tony Stewart bought it.Earl Baltes and now Tony put on great races that not only brings thousands of people camping right at the track but all of the surrounding counties near this track makes a killing on race weekends. The motels and hotels do a booming business on these weekends. People spend their money at all different kinds of businesses in a 50 mile radius of the track if not more. Just stop and consider that there will be no camping around this track, the local areas will see a great uptick on the people that will be coming to watch good racing, let alone all of the other things they propose to do with this area. If you've never been to a big race weekend at a track that puts on a great show, than you are clueless as to how much this will benifet not only Franklin county but all of the surrounding counties too. There's a ton of race fans who not only love good racing but they will spend good money to go see a good race. Noise? Thats why they make mufflers. Rednecks? you would be surprised at all of the great friendly people that attend races. Trouble? As a diehard Buckeyes fan some, of them go over the top at times just as some racefans can.

Hopefully anyone interested in this topic caught the discussion on WOSU 820AM this morning. Very interesting and informative. The representative from ROAR proved exactly what many have already figured out. They are clueless. Absolutely clueless.

This is the best idea ever for the Coop property! Columbus, and central Ohio is a quiet motor sports meca. Given the right facility and exposure, I know this would bring a ton of money and attention to the city. If it can host Nascar, Legends, Sprint, Motorcycle, etc. It would be a flurry of activity and excitement. Just make sure the engine noise stops before 9 or 10 o'clock and Im sure it would work out great. Remember... A lot of the property is surrounded by grave yards. Do you think those residents will mind? I dont. Also..Lets get Ted Strickland on board. Seems like hes just sitting back and watching Ohio go down hill. Come on Ted... Back this race track!
