THATS WHAT I"VE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG! FINALLY!!!! More than half of the chases were a fluke.<quoted text>
You should really just fess up to what you're REALLY talking about, which is that a top 10-12 place team has a better shot at pulling off a complete fluke with 10 races. Thats the BEST you can argue towards the topic of which is easier - a FLUKE.
The person in 12th going into chase 1 doesnt have to have "10 good races" to become champion. They only have to score more points than the next guy. Over the last 5 years #48 has set the pace with a 155-160 point average throughout the 10 chase races. The benchmark is set at a top 5 average throughout the chase to become champ, really no different than the average points per race needed to be champ in the late 90's early 00's u just only have to do it in less races.<quoted text>
And when you get back to reality and you're done praying to the superstition gods that somehow all the top 9 teams will have 10 bad races, which is even less likely than this sub-par team having 10 good ones, maybe you'll realize your biased opinion doesn't hold up to the truth.
