I watched the race and I am a Jimmie Johnson fan and I saw racing. I know Jeff wants to win and if it's his time to win ===he will. They all need to work as hard as Chad and Jimmie do if they want better results. But at least, Jimmie didn't come on the radio and make a smart comment about Jeff.

How do you know he didn't? Everything the drivers say isn't broadcast unless you're listening to them on a scanner at the track or they have a channel on Sirius. This isn't the first time these two have tattooed each other a little bit, probably won't be the last.

I think things would be a whole lot more fun to watch if all the showed the fire that Jeff showed with his battle with JJ. Personally it gets pretty boring to see all these guys act nice all the time. I was disappointed that Jimmie tried to downplay the whole thing after the race. The fans want to see that the drivers really think of the other drivers as competitors before they think of them as friends.

It did nearly blow up. On the track they both were upset at the way they were racing each other. They both know, tho, it is every man for himself out there. If Gordon wants to make comments bout Jimmie like "Four-time is a lil upset." Then, I think JG is a lil bitter of what JJ has done lately. It's not "4-time", Jeff, it's 4 in a row. Get it right! ;b

Seriously, I think as logically as I can when assessing what I see on there, and not biased at all. Gordon was my fav driver but JJ is the man any smart person would put their money on. I favor Jimmie's driving skillz over my favorite driver if that makes sense. But what I saw was Jimmie's fault, but the exit of those 1 1/2 mile dog leg tracks is iffy sometimes.

Normally you want to ride out wide on exit, cut across the dogleg, back to the wall before entering T1. However, side by side, you sorta have to guess about a few things: The guy inside MIGHT leave you a lot of room on exit, and the guy outside MIGHT try to pinch you down. It looked to me like Johnson had almost room enough for another car between him and the wall, and Jeff exited as one normally does, thinking Johnson would leave just a bit more room for him.

As for Jeff's comment, we can only speculate at the meaning behind what he said. Some might say it was meant to be insulting, but 'four-time' might just be his nick for the champ. 4-time still qualifies as a valid title, and I like it, cuzz they can both call each other that.:P

Great post, I fully concur. As long as these two have been together, they have a relationship that is deep enough to handle a little on track bumping or momentary anger.

haha - all they can do is drive as clean as they can so they don't get called for being the bad guy. Everyone can speculate on the mistakes Jimmie made, but drivers make mistakes - fact of life. Each of them has brushed a wall or spun all by themself on occasion, and they have to put that behind them and move on.
Personally, if it was me in the 24 at Dega, I'd have lifted for a Hendrick car and picked them up and let them lead the train up to the front. My thoughts as Jimmie jumped in ahead, "You're in front, okay I'll push" and we'd all know whether Jeff's reaction was the smartest move or not. Yeah, I'd lift and slow the the line down a bit before I jump out of the draft, but thats just me.
