Double-file restarts non-issue at Pocono

There are 1 comment on the NASCAR Winston Cup Scene story from Jun 8, 2009, titled Double-file restarts non-issue at Pocono. In it, NASCAR Winston Cup Scene reports that:

NASCAR's much-ballyhooed move to double-file, "shootout-style" restarts -- with the lead-lap cars side-by-side at the front of the field -- didn't play a decisive role in Sunday's Pocono 500, but race runner-up Carl Edwards got enough experience with the new system to suggest a change.

Sounds like a good idea to me - especially since the leader gets the option of inside or outside. I hated seeing late (not last 10 laps) race restarts, especially on short tracks, where it took forever for 4th or 5th place cars to have a chance to catch the leaders because of all the lapped cars.
