It's actually pretty laughable what happens every time Dale Earnhardt Jr. makes news.

Tony Stewart on Trackside last night said he told Jr. to hurry up and win so reporters would quit asking him about it. Like Tony said, "There's 42 other drivers out there too." Not everyone belongs to the infamous nation.

If all the other driver would have the balls to give an honest answer they would be respond: Jr just isn't a very good driver.

The article pretty well nails it. People are sick of the media stirring up conversation about Jr all the time. There are other things going on in NASCAR.

Then tell me why people blame Dale for the media obsession. What does Dale do personally to ask for this type of attention?

If you ask me, he appears to be the kind of person who wishes it would stop. He does not arrive at the track in a motorcade attempting to draw attention to himself. He does not make antagonizing statements to the press to stir up trouble. He is just a guy who is trying to do his job and would be more successful if everyone would just leave him alone to find his way out of the hole he has dug for himself.

It's the medias fault but if Nascar fans used their brains they would see that Junior is good for the sport. Any driver that brings attention to a sport is needed. Including Kyle Busch. If you love the sport then you got to love what makes the sport what it is. How long would Nascar last without Juniors fan base?

Good point.

Nascar always needs a villian and Kyle seems more than happy to play the role. I imagine that in "real life" he is probably an alright guy.

I can't embrace Kyle but when he says his bullshyt it makes the fans talk. He's the "heel". Mabey Logano can take Dale Jr place someday.

I agree with you 100%! He didn't ask to have the Earnhardt name, he was born with it and it will follow with him no matter what he does. It's the MEDIA that has made so much hype about Jr that has made him the most popular driver in NASCAR. He can't change that either. If it was any other driver going through this, it would be next day news. Even the haters have made him popular because they keep their nasty comments going day after day. If they would let it rest, then maybe the Media wouldn't have to focus on him every chance they get.

i used to use those numbers in reversed order, i like things in order lol but found it got be profiled anywho... one thing dale jr h88rs can do to end some of the hype is post on their drivers forums, tweet their drivers name and if they we're to do so they would soon see media shift. there are sites that track this activity ,i can't recall a url off hand but google can!!

I agree totally with everything you said except one small point or two. Your right he doesn't show up to the track in a motorcade, but a Learjet 60 XR and a Bell helicopter aren't necessarily the most subtle methods of staying under the radar while arriving at a track :) Just saying!!

I agree, if you have a favorite driver, post on their forum. The HATERS just seem to keep adding fuel to the fire and wonder why JR gets more popular by the minute. Thanks to them for keeping him the MOST POPULAR DRIVER IN NASCAR!!!!

And, Jr isn't "going on" that's the problem. They give far too much attention to NASCAR's "Never Was" and pretty much ignore the real news and the real stars of the sport. NASCAR needs to get the message, the world does not revolve around Jr. The guy is a no-talent loser.

OK, here goes. I will probably get slammed for this but I beleive you have to have talent to drive these cars. Have you ever driven one of these cars? Probably not an easy task. So you must have to have some kind of talent to be in this sport. I have a cousin who does alot of late model dirt track racing and that isn't easy by far. Just imagine trying to do that in a car that goes over 100 mile an hour. So there is talent there somewhere.

yeah most of these haters sit back on their fat asses on Sunday and just bitch at the TV and make their kids go grab them a Coke from the fridge and when the race is over they come here and tell us Jr fans all we need to know about Nascar and everything that Jr does wrong while never even breaking a sweat. I would love to see these experts drive a race car or even a go-cart for that matter
