JV closing in on 2010 seat

Jul 26, 2009 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Formula 1 Blog

Here's a story I wouldn't bet the life-savings on: Jacques Villeneuve will be back in Formula 1 in 2010, according to Sport Bild.

it would be great o see villeneuve back in F1 given the changes in the cars for 09

the ferrari drive would be tterriffic, a great driver in a very good car, i think he would surprise many of his detractors

Uh, who the hell cares? He's so far down the back side of his hill it doesn't matter what he drives. But they always X number of cars to fill the grid.

Well let's be honest C, after the last few weeks it might be good to get Jack back, F1 needs a new clown, and seeing as though Coolturd has retired and Montoya is the new clown of Nascar, Jack would fit right in ... what an idiot, his singing skills are way better than his driving skills, and we all know how crappy he sings.

LOL good one RB. Couldn't agree more. I never could stand JV, and every time he lost to MS he cried foul. He just didn't get it that he is not a team player, and a sucky driver. Heck DC was a better driver than JV, I'd much rather see a return of DC over JV any day.

Sorry Darling, but it looks as though I'm in the majority on this one. As for Jeff being over the hill, considering he's third in the points, it boggles the mind to think how far out front he would be if he wasn't over the hill. Why, he would probably have the championship sowed up already.

JV had an outstanding rookie F1 season and would have taken the title had his own team not held him in the pits just those extra seconds so his team mate could win.
He did manage to come back the next season and take the title.
he'll also go down in the record books as winning the longest Indy 500.
There's no doubt he was and quite surely still is one of the top all around drivers. Had he been given a competitive seat in cup, I'm sure he would have been a top driver there too. such a shame they continue to waste good equipment on the like of Jr Earnheardt.
But as in most sports there will always be the Know-it-all jealous types like Mr Redneck Bobbing on the Knob from Atlanta, that fact that JV's a Canadian bother you that much? Cant't all have bad teeth now can they.

Wow mr Truth, quick to throw out the insults, at least I have teeth ... and as for the Canadians, just remember the age of British Imperialism is over, nobody is ruled by you useless limeys anymore, even the Canadians dislike you lot. Why not send your bloody redcoats down to Zimbabwe and sort out the crap you lot started and then ran away from .. and next time you remember the war, keep in mind if it was not for the Americans, you lot would all be speaking German, all have blonde hair and blue eyes, and the union jack would have the Nazi Swastika slap bang in the middle of it ... and of course I would be calling you Gunter ... you dumbass

anal-nastro, come on then, let's talk facts and figures. Which season would you like to start, I have been watching f1 around 1972, the year Emerson Fittipaldi was crowned champion (the youngest at that time at 25) and the Lotus cars ran for the first time in black and gold sponsored by John Player Special cigarettes, the car became known as the JPS. Drivers that year included the greats like Stewart, Ickx, Regazonni, Hulme, Lauda, Scheckter. So come on sunshine pick a year. I've been around, I've watched F1 races on 3 continents trackside, and unlike the pissy fans these days who think it's all boring because suddenly Brawn is winning and not Alonso or Hamilton, I sat and watched through the dark years of the 80's when Ferrari, my dream team, were pure crap, I saw so many of the greats killed, I saw some of the most horrific accidents and I saw some of the greatest champions, and the worst losers, the best racing and some of the best overtaking moves ever. I've seen rule changes too many to mention, and cars evolve from tubes with thin bike type wheels to the magnificent aerodynamic wonders we see today, from rear wings towering high above the engine, and some crazy front wings to match. I saw probably the most pefect F1 car ever built, the F2002 Ferrari which destroyed the rest out there with absolute domination. Teams that came and went, and then came back and went again, new teams, old teams, and I've been fortunate to meet a couple of F1 champs. I don't know everything Nasty Anal, I have never professed that anyway, but I think you're farting against thunder.

So come on I'm waiting .....let's have some fun.
