I don't know how this will work out. There is usually one big ego to a team. Tony has been the ego for Gibbs since he was first brought up. Now we have an ego that is even bigger coupled with a teen-age mindset. Sounds like trouble to me.

I think next year will be full of fireworks on any of the new teams.

I'm not so sure the fireworks are over yet for this year. If Gibbs does go to Toyota it wouldn't surprise me if Tony ends up leaving and he may be the 4th RCR car.

Not going to happen. Smoke will finish his career with Zippy and Joe driving whatever brand of cars Joe decides on. That is a business decision based what Toyota will sweeten the pot with. If there is fireworks at JGR, it will be the war of the egos and that is going to be fun to watch.

RCR would be a scary place for Tony to be. I am not sure his ego will fit in over there.

Hope you're right about him staying, I do like JGR and I do think the 3 of them will be fun to watch. They certainly will be able to give Hendrick a run for the money.

I heard Tony say he wouldn't want to be a NASCAR owner cus there is no fun in it. All the fun is in the driving.

I thought it was the politics of NASCAR that he was opposed that prevented him from owning a team. Either way, I think when it is no longer fun for him that is when he will get out. I don't see him being there after the '09 season. I think he enjoys all his other racing ventures and would like to do those full time.. However, since I am not Tony..I am only speculating.

and since I am speculating... here's some more BS--

I think he will drive a Toyota IF Gibbs does switch from Chevy. Let's face it, Toyota hasn't done well in the Cup series(yet?).. and TS is one driver who likes something new, edgy so he can push the boundaries and be the first. Toyota has lots of money and are willing to make their Cup program #1..I could see TS enjoying the underdog status that Toyota has in Cup so that he can rub it in the faces of all the naysayers when he wins..

I also think he will also end his career with Gibbs and Zippy.

But whatever that's JMO.
