Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin or Kevin Harwick should have won this one. JJ did NOT deserve it.

LOL I love Hamlin and would applaud him to win a championship over JJ but driver of the year is not someone who wrecks in the last race and then misses pit road to seal his fate and allow JJ to inherit the rewards.

It's no surprise. He's been Driver of the Decade. Hamlin needs a hug. Harvick needs to concentrate on one or the other series. Busch needs anger management. Jimmie has raised the bar and all other drivers are just trying to keep up. "One for the Thumb" is on in 2k11!!!

When was the first time somebody won four consecutive championships? Answer: When Johnson did it in 09.

When was the first time somebody won FIVE?

Earnhardt, Petty, Gordon, Waltrip, Yarborough... NOBODY has won more than three straight than Johnson.

In the world of sports, RESULTS move the needle, everything else is just an arguement. YES, Johnson is the Driver of the years, and if he should go on to win SIX in a row, he will be Driver of the Year AGAIN. Until somebody steps up to beat him, he is what he is, and by the time his career is over, he may be considered the best ever.

As for the France family being in the tank for Johnson...

The guy is killing the sport, and some genious has the nerve to think that the France Family SUPPORTS that!

Hillarious!

Exactly, right? 50 in the shortest amount of time in todays level of competition says far more than at any other time in NASCAR history. That much is fact, but haters can't admit to that. It's known by most any racefan that when you eliminate variables, you reduce the potential for difference, and that's what the COT was, so that all that remains is driver ability and setup adjustments. Tolerances and restrictions limit everything else.

And chases and championships aside, he STILL has more records and evidence that support that 'GOAT' argument many times over.
