There are 30 comments on the The Gaston Gazette story from Apr 16, 2011, titled Aaron's 499 Fact Sheet. In it, The Gaston Gazette reports that:

Even though it's the same old 188 laps, the name is: Aaron's 499. Without plates, it would still be the world's fastest closed course: Talladega Superspeedway.

I sure am disappointed with Mark Martin. he purposely dropped back from Gordon just so JJ would win. what a wimp. he needs to retire. Not that I wanted Gordon to win but I did not want him to give it away and kiss JJ a--.

So Tony's streak of not finishing better than 16th in the past 4 races at Dega is still in tact. I don't expect him to finish in the top 15 in Richmond either. Guess he can say goodbye top he top 12 and not have to worry about doing interviews.

It seems like these guys have got the two-car tandem approach figured out- which means that the fan only needs to tune in to the final 10 laps at daytona or dega to watch the real race. Look at all those empy seats there yesterday....crazy.

It would be nice to see all the fans boycot these
2 races then nascar would get it figured out. I will not be attending either place and sure wish others would do the same.
This is the most boring racing I have ever seen.

I never thought I'd see something more boring than the big packs of cars at restrictor plate races, but than, they proved me wrong. I'll admit the end can be pretty exciting with these 2 car packs (as we saw yesterday) but the rest of the race.... Boring! Not quite as boring as Daytona was, but almost. Going to get worse too. Teammates are going to hook up for the entire races and than the go or go homers hook up and we see, for the most part, the same 2 guys with each other all day long.*YAWN* Can't blame the drivers. They're just doing what's smart with the way things are set up right now. Nascar needs to make some serious changes. Restrictor plate racing was boring enough, but now it's like watching paint dry (paint drying being slightly more exciting.)

Obozo and democrats used blame high gas prices on Bush and his oil friends. Who is Obama going to blame now, and what is he doing about it?

The Democrats and the Republicans have absolutely nothing to due with the price of oil. just like they have nothing to do with the cost of orange juice, diamonds, copper or gold. Oil is a commodity. Its trade on the exchange. if more people want to buy oil, the price goes up. if less people are buying oil, the price goes down. People trade oil that have nothing to do with the oil buisness, thus affecting price. You want the gov't to step in and regulate fuel costs? How would you like them to regulate how much you earn in your paycheck?

Honestly I am surprised that NO ONE has pointed out that the #48 and the #88 passed below the yellow going through the trioval on the final lap?

See 1:49 of the attached vid.

Left side tires are CLEARLY below the yellow!

NO CALL??
