Hi Everyone! I made it home from Emporia in one piece! I'd like to thank friendofafriend for posting for me as I dictated what I was seeing!

OMG it was TOO funny to see her horseface when she saw me peeking around a corner (I was outside the building and she was waiting to walk down the aisle). MAN that look must be frozen on her face because I can just see her making that same face at those of you who have encountered her at the track.

He looked very handsome. The groomsmen were all wearing sneakers, black tuxedos and the same color vests as the girls dresses. The little ones looked totally adorable! E had on all black as far as I could see IN THE DARK!

DARN that girl for planning this thing after sunset!!!

While I was peeking at her, a very handsome guy walked up to the door alone. When he saw her waiting there, he said he would wait outside for her to go down the aisle. I asked if he was a friend of the bride or groom. He said groom. I said "Do you think this is a good idea?" and he chuckled and said "I sure hope so. Why? Do you know something?" and I said "Ya know, you hear people talk, hear things around town." He asked me who I was there for and I said "The groom but clearly I'm not good enough friends to be invited inside!!!"

It was w-a-y too much fun but I hated that I was alone. I was the only stalker there as far as I know. I SOOOOOO wanted to sneak into the church but I chickened out (plus I would have stuck out like a sore thumb with jeans and a sweatshirt!)

I will answer any and all questions ...

You, my friend, have bigger balls than Elliott. THAT is WILD...you are lucky they didn't throw you in jail. So they wore sneakers?..and Elliott, all dressed in black--just like a funeral---anyone else see the irony in that? Did HE look happy?

Good job! Okay - I'll start with the questions.

How many bridemaids and groomsmen? Did you know any of them?

What were the colors?

Did you get a peek at the flowers?

And - most importantly - did you get the handsome guy's name and phone number?

Thanks!

Was hard to see their faces on the way out since it was SOOOOO dark.

When someone had cracked the password to the wedding website, I made a note of the name of the church. Emporia ain't that big so I drove around until I found it.

The guys in the parking lot drinking from yellow plastic cups ALSO gave it away. AND the tacky luminaries on the walkway (which I wanted to swipe as a souvenir but there were too many people mingling).

Then as they were waiting for the 'happy' couple to come out of the church, they were complaining in their best southern VA accents about how cold they were and how they just wanted to leave, etc etc .....

I got a peek at Ansley too. They were waiting for A to finish getting ready (I was peeking in another door!) she was holding her flowers (which were really goofy colors considering the dresses, vests on the guys, etc)

OH Blake Shelton is VERY tall and he was there without Amanda Lambert. I also saw Dale Jarrett (who looked very handsome in his tux).

There must have been some groomsmen waiting with E at the altar because when they were waiting to go into the church, DJ and one or 2 of his high school friends weren't there. I did see Hermie with a bridesmaid (his wife??)

theo -

There were about 6-7 bridesmaids, same number of groomsmen (although like I said above, I didn't see some of them in the church vestibule)

I recognized DJ, Hermie, Ansley (yuck), Hermie's girls, and of course our bride.

The dresses were a very pretty red/burgundy color. Some were strapless, some had straps. The flowers were very 'fallish' colors. Yellow, orange, and some small white flowers. I would have matched the bridesmaids dress color and maybe done some reds, white, maybe some pink???

Can you say "Lisa is STUPID?" Of course I didn't get his name!!! DOH (insert Homer Simpson sounds here).

Thanks Ladies ... I have to admit I felt sorta wierd - a 48 yr old woman stalking this train wreck! BUT I'm so glad I went and got to be your eyes!!! If I had stayed home, I would have kicked myself all weekend for NOT going.

The other thing I wanted to get my hands on was the program. People were carrying them out when they walked out of the church. I thought about maybe waiting and trying to sneak in to grab one but I decided I didn't need the whole jail experience so I gave that up.

As I was pulling out of the church parking lot, the Hummer/school bus was right behind me. I could have slammed on the brakes and had it hit me. They would have had to get out to see what was going on - maybe I could have wiggled out an invite to the reception!!!

HA HA HA HA HA HA

I wish I lived closer...I so would have gone with. And before anyone says anything....YES, ITS IMMATURE! That's why it would have been so much fun...kind of like something we would have done in high school! I am so jealous that you had the balls to go! Good for you!

Lisa,

Did you get to the barn too, or just the wedding itself?

I am not trying to be funny or start anything, but some of these things seem to make a mockery of the day. A YELLOW Hummer Limo?? What happened to white or black? Tennis shoes?? How disrespectful, marriage is supposed to be a sacred day. It seemed like it was more like a clown fest. Drinking in the parking lot before the ceremony??? Well knowing her as I do I can go with this. Winter wedding with fall flowers??? I now am tending to believe this was planned in three weeks like was said. The sad part is she had a wedding coordinator, hope she was free. I think even Ringling Brothers puts more effort into their shows. I also would not want people mumbling about wanting to leave my special day. This has been a shame for a long time and now can be known as the wedding fiasco for 2009. If this is what it means to get married with money let me stay poor. Hey stalker can you at least say he looked happy? He has looked miserable for so long I am at least hoping even if as we know temporarily he put on a smile to avoid further embarrassment.

No, it wasn't immature. Amanda and Elliott are both jokes and neither one of them will treat marriage with the dignity or respect it merits, therefore, your actions are justifiable. Besides, you were just re-enacting one of his favorite movies, "The Wedding Crashers."

Now, it would have been absolutely hilarious if you had bumped into Tony Stewart or Kevin Harvick doing the same thing as you were!! No other NASCAR drivers there, other than Jarrett---could you tell if George Gillett was there--you'd think Elliott would have invited him. Of course, if he RSVP'd a month ago (per protocol) and said he wouldn't be there--that might have been a clue that they were thinking of replacing him in the 19 car. Maybe Amanda should have paid more attention to those responses.

I don't think they take him (or her) seriously. Besides, I'm sure they all think they'll be seeing MORE than enough of her during the season.
