I know the drivers are doing bad,but seriously look at what they have to work with as far as equipment. They have owners who obviously don't care and are trying to fund a Indy team.*cough Richard*
Look at how his teams performed when he had Petty Motorsports and it is sad that Bobby or his own son didn't want to stay. I don't think they have even won a race since God knows win. I think the owners shouldn't be cutting someone when they don't even have a chance to perform because of the crap equipment they are handed. I think some owners need to do their job and work on their teams and not start to fun another team when the other 4 can't even win a race.

The King has little or no voice on this race team. He is a figure head. That was part of the deal.

kind of like when First Union purchased Wachovia bank. Wachovia had a better name so they used the name since it was better suited for business. Happens all the time in the business world.

Another rumor!!! Jayski reported that Sadler may be parked and AJ get the sponsorships. This rumor came from Jayski's supposed sources. I was surprised to see Best Buy on AJ's #44 this past weekend, but maybe this is part of the contracts. Hope Stanley will comtinue with ES. The last rumor that Jayski reported the one with Todd Parrott coming to Elliott as crew chief never materialized. We shall see. Check Jayski.com to see. 5/11/09

I hated seeing the #44 with Best Buy too. I was wondering if that was some warning of things to come. Maybe they just decided to spend the money on #44 since Elliott was committed to Stanley for that race? I really think that Elliott is safe for the rest of the season, next year....not so much.

UPDATE: been told by folks with the team, no changes are planned and Sadler is safe as the driver.(5-11-2009). This is what it says on Jayski.

That's great news. I hope it's true.
I feel ill towards RPM. IMO- they're nothing more than a bunch of ass clowns! Richard Petty went from bad to outright horrible. He has to be embarrassed being they're mascot. I'm not saying that to be ugly but that's the only person I actually respect, aside from the drivers. Im not an AJ fan and I think it's a retarded thought that RPM thinks he's going to be their next Kasey Kahne.

I know people keep saying that Petty is just a "figurehead" but, wouldn't you want anything with your name on it to be successful??? I think he's got more at stake than we are lead to believe.

I think so, too, cak. My husband hails from a long line of Richard Petty fans and they think it's pitiful to see that he's used as Gillett's mascot. I think if the King did have more input into what's going on with the equipment and such, RPM might be doing a little better. RPM not only keeps their drivers in the dark, they keep the fans in it too. Personally, I think this entire team is in jeopardy of losing their rides. RPM's future is looking really dim at this point.

I never did understand what hapened with Kyle Petty and Bobby Labonte when all this "merging" was going on. If someone can enlighten me or has an opnion - I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Bobby Labonte was headed out to another team anyway but Kyle was pretty much left out.

I heard an interview with Kyle Petty where he was saying that "before to long" he wanted to not run full time (stopped short of saying retire), so that he could devote more time to the Victory Junction Camp, especially now that they are opening up another camp (out west somewhere).
Just a guess, but maybe he saw his chance to "cut back" on his schedule? Or maybe Richard P. misunderstood and thought Kyle wanted out NOW.(their communication isn't the greatest-from what I've heard).
Someone told me they heard he may go to Truck racing in order to have more time for the Camps.
Has anyone else heard anything?(JMO)

Kyle is not going Truck racing. He sees Truck and Nationwide as a step down. I read Kyle's Twitter and he seems pretty content with his life right now. He's playing a lot of golf and has been rebuilding a motorcycle.
