Changes lead to Sadler's crew chief winning MOOG award

After making wholesale changes to its car, the No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge Charger team watched driver Elliott Sadler march through the competition for an impressive eighth-place finish in the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

That is something Elliott Sadler Fan's have not seen much of in a long time! I just hope this is just the first of some good runs by ES to close out the 2009 season?

no its called supporting your driver thru the good and the bad times....and yeah hes had bad times since ryr...but i never thought of him as
a tier one driver and even some of the tier one
drivers are struggling (not every week) but off and on last year and this year....the cot is mostly to blame, there are those who definatly
man that wheel or struggle with it and still bring it home decently though...and there are those who cant seem to get it...

yeah most of us know that elliott isnt all that good. but it doesnt matter, we like him, and yeah
we get tired of seeing the bad runs, bad luck, no luck...whatever, but we all have our reasons that

stay off this forum and go to another one that you don't have to be so negative. I am a fan of Elliott and get upset when he does bad and cheers when he does well. So GO AWAY MR/MRS. NEGATIVITY.

Elliott is a great guy, great out going personality and fun to be around however regardless of the quality of equipment he is put in he will never be a front running driver. The old saying about everyone gets promoted to at least their first level of incompetence applies to Elliott. Everybody had high hopes for him when he came out of the South Boston Late Models but always in a little over his head. His family isn't exactly hurting for money, so him and Hermie had the top of the line late models and won a lot of races at South Boston, Langley, Orange County and Southern National. Ricky Bobby as he is affectionally called, needs to think about joining the family business.

I've heard talk of the 'truck stop'. Is that what it is? Just curious

Truer words have never been spoken. And thats why he and his blind faith fans will often fall back on the 'equipment excuse'. ANYONE with the best equipment can win, its the drivers that turn average equipment to the next level are the real wheelmen. Elliott is not one of them. He is great in the booth, behind the wheel, not so much.

Have to agree with your post to a certain extent, but am afraid at best it's "selective"loyalty.( The people who post here are here for whatever reason...it's their choice.)

Loyalty would be respecting ES choice of wife, not bashing her ceaselessly, and question just how supportive that is and when you attack her, aren't you in reality attacking him...and it's nice to see actual race discussions here and hope Mr. Perkins hangs in and doesn't get driven out because he chooses to have some intellectual integrity and deals in the facts as they are and not how he wants them to be.

Look at how the life has been choked out of this group. Fewer posts made as the vocal bullies drown out the people who try to share opinions
and not dwell on the name-calling, wedding-crashing insecure thugs who have nothing better to do than verbally beat up on a woman because she fell in love, got married and "put herself out there." Why would she be nice to fans...have they been nice to her?

Well Ed, you got to get your little jabs in where you can. It's called fan loyalty by some folks, I just call it being a smartass. I really hope that I didn't hurt anyones feelings with what I said about Elliott but I watched him and Hermie a lot when they were running late models. One of their big trucks stops is just over on I-95 about 25 miles from here. The Sadlers have some big money.
