Maybe his pit crew has given up. I didn't listen into Elliott this weekend on trackpass like I usually do so I have no idea what his mood was like. Being an Elliott Sadler fan is almost like riding a rollercoaster. Just to the point where I don't know what to say in his defense these days!

nothin' to great about it, nothin' to bad about it - you just don't want anyone to know about it.

I didn't listen either but he looked really pissy after his wreck. I really didn't pay too much attention to him until then so I didn't see how slow or fast his pit crew was during his stops. I would think they're annoyed too but that's no excuse for being slow.

With everything going on with the economy, etc., we have all found out how much it has effected NASCAR and other major sports. It's not over yet, either. By the end of this season we will find out (piece by piece) who the men are and who the boys are and who is out and who is in. Look at all the sponsors NASCAR has lost (Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, etc.) and that also isn't over with. Too bad that a lot of "good" guys and a lot of "seat fillers" will lose their rides. Sponsors aren't going to throw good money after bad anymore. JMO

JMO Sponsors aren't just looking for "fan favorites" anymore, they needs someone who will win and put money back into the racing operations. It is sad, because Elliott and several others are fan faves but they couldn't even buy a win these days if they wanted to.

Very sad, but still very true. You would think with a baby on the way that he would work harder to secure a ride. But then again, maybe he is more worrried about the family thing to care about racing anymore. Either way, I am still cheering on Tony for the championship this year. I still like ESad, but there comes a time to cut your losses. Hey, maybe that is what he has done....

And A.J. has been driving for free much of this season. RPM is getting a better ROI with A.J. than they ever thought about getting with Sadler.

Is it true that R. Sorenson is also driving for free? And, what about other drivers? Missed most of the news this week about NASCAR. Anyone know? Thanks!

Yes - R. Sorenson Is driving FREE this year. When asked "why?" he said that he would be more likely to be offered another seat by being seen on the track than sitting at the house in front of the tv. When you're not out on the track, you are quickly forgotten about.
The rest I don't know.(I hadn't heard AJ was free this yr)

Just my person opinion. He is another that is not all he was meade out to be. not every race:(and does anyone honestly think Sadler would give up his pay in order to stay on the track?) http://www.sirius-speedway.com/2009/09/source... Loomis also confirmed today that Reed Sorenson is not the first RPM driver to race for free, saying that Allmendinger also waived his paycheck for a time, in order to remain on the racetrack. "AJ and all the employees at Richard Petty Motorsports made sacrifices in order to continue being a four-car team," he said. "When those guys stepped up, it really said a lot to me about the character of Reed Sorenson, AJ Allmendinger”
