It's one thing for the drivers to fly on private planes, but it would only make economic sense to fly commercial if you are flying seperate from your husband/boyfriend. I would think NOW would be the time for Elliott to count every penny and start saving, since his future is unclear.
However, if the Sadlers would like to keep helping the economy, and keep their pilots gainfully employed, then GO FOR IT! It's not a great example, but it is their money.
They said on one show over the weekend that Richard Petty flew all the crews out to Vegas before Fontana, rented them vans and they drove to CA. Then, drove back to Vegas for the race and the plan was to fly back east - don't know if they have made it back there or not (because of the weather). But, point being, it saved them a boatload of money.

Theo they made it back. He arrived in Statesville,NC over 9 hours ago according to Flightaware.com and isn't scheduled to leave.
I'm guessing she didn't have school today.

Isn't it obvious? We survive because we are F*****G nuts!
Are you getting all the snow that they were forecasting for the east?
Yea, we got it, all in all it was only about 6 inches, but they close down everything at the first flake. It will be gone soon as the weekend is calling for 60, so hopefully that will be the end of it for this year!
I love summer!

He blocked his flight number from being tracked. I think someone doesn't want us to know when his wife is skipping school.

At the risk of being shot down, I am really glad he did block it. I find it creepy that people would want to track him down to his every move. It's like a STALKER! Plus, who cares if she is missing school. I would have to say that the school system had to know that she would be doing a lot of traveling with her husband and by all rights who wouldn't! I know any of you all would be right there with him. She's just lucky enough to have the spot.
Maybe she went to part time status. I am sure they worked out something as I do not see her using a "call in" method to miss all this time.
Oh well JMO!

She is a teacher and that was the job she went to school for. I thought she "loved" her job and was a "dedicated" teacher at that. I guess she really did get an A in gold digging and the hometown sweetheart act.

I don't know about blocking numbers and all that. But, around here often, when a teacher gets married, they call in a qualified sub/retired teacher so she (or he) can take the rest of the year off(if they want to).
If I had snagged ES, you can bet the farm I would take as much time as I could to be with him & have fun at the track ESPECALLY during the beginning of the marriage!! Besides Good teachers are ALWAYS in demand. So, the proof of her ability as a teacher will be if, in later years, it is easy for her to get her job back.
I've been married for 22yrs. and there is STILL times that I leave MY responsibilities behind and go on trips with him. I REALLY enjoy Hubby's company. Am I the only one who does this after many years of marriage? Tell me what it's like for you.(I'm just curious)

AMEN! And very well said. I went to school and have a degree in pharmacy...healthcare is a profession that is always in demand...but if I was to have married a nascar driver, well forget this! I would definitely want to be at every race with him. So what if she claimed to be a good teacher, sounds to me like she is also trying to be a good wife. I take time off too, and even to go to races with my boyfriend, don't see why that is so harmful. I don't consider myself a bad employee for that. And like I said, I do not believe that she is calling in sick or leaving the school without coverage. I am sure they knew that this was something she would be doing when she married him. He will spend half of his life on the road during race season and I think it is silly of people to think that she is to stay at home and teach! Please! What women in her right mind would not want to be there with him!
HA! Life's too short! Enjoy the ride!
