Johnson, Patrick, Bayne wreck early in Daytona 500

Five-time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, former IndyCar driver Danica Patrick and defending race champion Trevor Bayne have been involved in a wreck on the second lap of the Daytona 500.

I have been watching NASCAR lately but I am very new to it. I root for Kasey Kahne but don't understand, do I root for him or his team? Please help and thanks for answering.

well she crashed again but not her fault some of the best caused that mess the horseshoe has fell of the 48s ass

Danica hit a car in front of her and to her left, and got a little side ways, before she even got to JJ's car. Watch the in-car video. No ones mentioning this. She may have been able to avoid this had she reacted differently. Others did. They are protecting their newest marketing gimmick. I'm already sick of the Danica fawning. She's not a pioneer in the sport, she just knows how to use her gender to make as much money as possible, just like Tiger. More power to her, but just like golf, I'll start watching NASCAR again when she leaves the sport.

If you were paying attention,Elliot Sadler started the whole mess when he run into the back of Jimmy Johnson, Not much can be done at those speeds and trying to clear from others.

You should root for Kasey and the #5 team, as it is an entire team effort to bring a competitive car to a race and maintain it throughout, although most fans just refer to their favorite drivers name during discussions.

It depends on you...I am a fan of Ford so I pull for whoever is in a Ford. I hate cheaters like Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart who have cheated their ways to victories and championships. Some people have favorite drivers and some just hate drivers. If you like Kasey Khane then pull for him. Some people just have a favorite car...Just pull for whoever or whatever you like.
