I agree with you Mike55, alot of this hatred is because of jealousy.
My turn, You have worked in the NASCAR gargage? I did not know that NASCAR had a "Gargage", is a gargage a pet or a party spot.

Now, please tell me what MWR has done in the past 3 years, they have one car that is mildly competitive, another car that came over from another team last year and could bring sponsorship and a big old lead sled that keeps hitting walls, other cars and anything else within a fuel stop of the #55. With all due respect Michael is no better than Darrel when it comes to running a NASCAR team, just ask Tim Beverly, who bought the #35 team from Darrel about the quality of junk equipment that came in that deal. The ONLY reason Mikey Waltrip cars are able to run as well as they do is that the last year Gibbs ran chevrolet and knew they were switching to "Yotas" they sent some engineers and mechanics to Waltrip racing to attempt to get them up to speed as far as quality of cars. I will never forget or forgive what Mikey Waltrip did to David Hyder year before last at Daytona, offering him up as the burnt offering to attempt to save his own Southerly oriface. I know David Hyder from his late model days and can tell you that if David wants to cheat it will not be with some bull crap chemical sprayed into the air cleaner element for qualification.

How could anyone be jealous of POS (I will get on all fours for you Faux King)Waldrip?

In all due respect, please cut the jealousy crap. Sure, it's something to start a Cup team from scratch these days but Helen Keller could see that MWR's P & L sheets are hanging in there by their toenails.(that's profit & loss in laymen's terms) Their sponsorship is spread pretty thin for next year and Waltrip's little malfunction last week did nothing for him PR-wise.
Actually, my driver is still in contention for his THIRD championship...I don't think he's too envious of somebody just short of the "gohomer" set. If Waltrip actually gave a damn about his team, he would've tried to keep that 55 up there in points for Truex instead of this little self-absorbed pity-party every Sunday afternoon.
As far as actually hating the guy-I don't. Why bother-life's too short to waste hating a simple racecar driver. I usually reserve that luxury for society's real bottom-feeders-politicians, lawyers, child molesters, animal abusers, etc.

I'm not sure it's jealousy. I mean when the running joke online and in the grandstands is about whether or not you cause the wreck then maybe there's a problem. His name is the first or second to come up when you ask who's going to cause the first wreck. Generally the answer is Sam Hornish Jr and/or Mikey.
hmmmm.
And I'm not a hater either. And I'm definitely not jealous of a man who'll never do what my driver has done.
Same thing was being said about Champion Bill Elliott in 2002.

I guess you can't say much about Hyder as a CC since he doesn't know what is going on with his racecar at all times. I bet Chad does!

If that's true, and I doubt it is (just some more of that obscure righteous distraction - the typical tired tactic of the kookaider). At least Million Dollar Bill will leave the sport with the respect due a champion. Your boy will leave the sport with the respect due a drunk rolling chicane.

That's right, stick with him no matter what, don't think for yourself. Puts a crap product on the track and can't manage his personal scene. These are the people in the sport and life that should be idolized.

Hyder's mistake was taking a job at POS Racertainment and working for those lying, cheating douschbags. I'm sure Chad is dreaming of the day he can work for POS.

Hey Lisper......Chad probably has this thought every Monday, after finishing the taping of that Speed-farce..........TWIN or probably better known by is name in 2007...."Outside Nextel Cup".....when neither panelist was making very many races, especially POS and that CRAPA-ride!

10-4?

I don't know if its still up on the POS racertainment website but a couple of days ago there was a video featuring a very tired almost gaunt looking Magnificent Merkin.(A week off the bottle obviously takes it toll) Apparently he's choosing the very one way communication method for now as opposed to something a bit less moderated and controllable.

Anyway I don't know if it was in his racertainment office, his house, his laywers office or what, cheap generic office furnishings, fixtures and finishes, poor lighting like maybe keep your tires clean Gene forgot to pay the lightbill, cardboard boxes full of crap etc.. Certainly not the digs you would expect for an owner of a major racing organization.

He was getting ready to go to (drive with some of his buddies)Talledaga via Atlanta. He stated that this race in dega is his best chance ever in his life to win a race. So I'm thinking that's a weather forcast. There must be some serious rain expected for the Talledega area this weekend.

He shilled for some kind of disposable grill in a aluminum pan.(perhaps thats where all the jap scrap goes) This was very much what I would expect from a big time race team owner, Hendrick, Roush, Penske, Petty they are always peddling disposable crap you can buy at Walmart.

Then the saddest thing of all is he pulled out some mail from a small box, allegedly pictures of his glorious wins, from a long long time ago, that his fans send to him for him to autograph and send back. As he reminisced about meager success on the racetrack (he did pull out pictures people sent him of some of his wrecks for him to sign - and I thought that was just a joke for a car parts commercial) he talked about what a pleasure it was to sign these things (but don't forget your $50 shipping and handling check).

The reality of end of his infamy is comming down on this guy like a frieght train driven by a drunk conductor. If it wasn't so GD funny it would be sad to watch him desperately trying to find anything that he can cling to legitimize he lackluster now dissipating career.

So kookaiders get on it, send send him some old Merkin memorabilia for him to sign and don't forget your $50 check. It makes him happy.

When I first came over here right after the 2007 Daytona disaster, one of the girls tried to convince me to become a Mikey Member or something like that. I thought it was a fan club where you send some money and then you get goodies and news letters, stuff like that. Now, unless I have the wrong club, I found out this person was referring to another online chitty-chat room where one has to f**king PAY to post!!!!! I thought, are they kidding? Who set this gig up? Guess who? I am sorry, Mike, but fans should get this sort of thing for free.

I can still see Chad's face when Mikey took his shoes and socks off on the program to demonstrate braking at Watkins Glenn. I thought Chad was going to go right under the table! It was funny as hell!!!

Bandwagon? I think not. It's called reality and calling it like I see it. Sure I pulled for him-before two Daytona 500s went straight to his head, giving him the delusion that he was "just as good as Jeff/Tony/Junior/etc"-his paraphrase-not mine. Granted, I did stick up for him on occasion-I felt kinda sorry for him. But he hasn't done a damned thing to warrant my applause or sympathy in quite a while-especially with this past week's nonsense. He's let down his fans, friends and family. He's quickly running out of options and time and all that brown-nosing has gotten him nowhere-it's all biting him in the arse.

Chad does? Then he IS responsible for the four times the 48 car has been caught cheating? Hyder has been with The Woods Team for the past couple of years and when it was going better, Bill Elliott gave David the credit for turning the team around.

You have never heard "Cheating Chad"? I think he is kind of proud of the name, heck he learned from best, Ray Everham. Of course he took responsible for every time the 48 team was caught, he's the CC. The whole team takes responsibility.
