Hey! Thanks for coming on. I didn't listen to his scanner except what they aired on the race - "We're done" or something like that. I definitely agree with your statement on cheating - everybody does it. The two years I sponsored a sprint car I don't know if they cheated or not. Not too many wins but good shows. I know we were cheated when the part we needed for the Knoxville Nationals came in twice as the wrong part - go Robby Gordon!<quoted text>
No offense taken Theo, usually with horses, they do think before they act, usually act anyway, but they think lol. JMO on the Edwards thing, and a little something that I learned when we were racing some, you don't talk about cheating, cause EVERY driver and EVERY team has done it at some point and time, so it's better just keep your mouth closed. Did not see every much of the race today, but at one point when he was complaining about the car, that he wished that his oil cap thingy was off and he had that extra 100# of downforce he talked about having when they did the same thing before Nascar starting teching it. lol. I just wish he had not brought former car owners names into the equation, that in my opinion was not right, even if I had agreed with what he said.
Theo, how are you doing?
Think the purpose of this thread was to agree with ES's opinion or not - and then it kind of got changed throughtout the day. I'm still on the fence if I agree with him or not. Will let you know. My thing was he didn't do himself (or GEM) any favors by voicing his opinions with everything he has been through. You know what I'm talking about with the other threads.
Guess the bottom line is ES weighed in on it, was very vocal about it and now it's out there. His bad? Maybe not. It'll take a few days for it to all shake out. Still, his media has not been stellar since this broke. Will be interested to see what they say on the TWIN show Mon. night.
I'll bring you up to speed on "Racing & Talking". Thanks for asking. Hope your weekend was good!
