Kyle Busch drives like a kid possessed

Feb 27, 2008 Full story: Detroit Free Press 36

“We didn't have quite the car to get up there and compete with those boys at the end, but, overall, a good day.”

He can be arrogant at times. He can get under your skin. Kyle Busch walks the walk, talks the talk and makes Terrell Owens look like a wilting flower. via Detroit Free Press

Kyle does drive like a mad man, but that is why he can catch the leader at California or Daytona all by himself. Most of those guys are too old and experienced to drive like that.. I hope that Kyle can drive like that for the rest of his career. He is very exciting to watch race.. a lot like Tony was before the COT and DW making him out to be the bad guy until he decided that he had to play give and take
so your saying tony dont have what it takes anymore an hes to old huh!!!!!!!!!!lol'''

I think Kyle she be sponsored by NO FEAR energy drink, cause the kid has no fear. He has to have an extra set of gonads, I swear. I think he is undoubtably one of the best raw talents out there. I know he will have a championship in the next five years for sure. I am happy to see him adjusting so well at Gibbs and think he will be a true asset. Mr. Hendrick may well just regret his decision down the road, but hey that's life in the fast lane. Win some lose some. Kyle has done Toyota proud and vice versa. I see him in Victory lane very soon.

I'm really starting to like Kyle. I like his agressiveness and he says what's on his mind. Reminds me a lot of the old Tony...

<quoted text>Have you noticed Denny Hamlin isn't mentioned that much anymore unless he is in a wreck? Kyle is good and very daring. He ain't afraid of nothing.
yeah, I have noticed and I feel for him a little bit. He is having the bad luck that Tony had last year. I was glad that he spoke out about the track being too slick last week.. it took Jr and Casey getting crashed the same way for NASCAR to believe it.. it is funny this week to hear the Jr fans saying that NASCAR should have let them bring out backups on Monday... they sound a lot like I did after Kansas last year.. it is a shame that NASCAR can't figure this rain stuff out. I am pretty sure the fans would have rather known the rain was there to stay and come back to the track on Monday after a good nights sleep and not getting soaked and tired from so many hours in that weather.. NASCAR needs to get themselves a weatherman, or lady

no maam, I am saying that Tony used to get in trouble for driving aggressively like Kyle does now,, he would get put to the back how many times? and so he learned to be patient.. Kyle has not learned that and he might not have to if they do not consider it to be aggressive driving anymore..I think it is kind of funny how it has changed over this off season.. last year at Daytona, DW would have been ragging on Kyle for the way he was drivng. I don't know if the TV caught it all that well, that boy was all over that track and cutting in and out of traffic.. he got away with it but all the while I was wondering if it had been Tony, would he have been put to the back of the longest line for being aggressive?
as I said before, I am glad.. that is good hard racing IMO.. I just wish they never accused Tony of driving bad when he did it for the last bunch of years.

Yes Kyle has mentioned that they did this at HMS. I must say though it is a no brainer! If I was in a race against Denny and Smoke HECK YA i want to here how they handle! I'm sure there is still a little no one needs to know going on! After all Kyle has loose lips! not all information needs to pass on to the media or other teams.
when Kurt was on trackside, DW said "you know that fly on the wall? he has one"... you never know.. Penske does seem to be a lot better this year..

he was 100% at fault. he didn't deny it either. i saw it on a massive jumbotron that played the replay like 10 times.

I think he is only 22.. VERY YOUNG!! Well as far as taking drivers out.. A lot of the truck drivers think if it wasn't for his over aggresive driving that the accident w/Skinner may not have happened. To me it was hard to tell who was actually at fault or if anyone was really at fault.
The kid can drive though... I guess being that young you have no fear at all. Just like teenage drivers that think nothing can happen to them.

yes, he drives like all the idiots causing the wrecks on the thruway! yes!

there's a good reason he was the only driver (idiot) cutting in and out... it ain't talent either.

by the way, last year in the closing laps, DW was not at all negative of kyle's 'driving'. in fact, i thought he may have had his hand in his pants. he was all giddy about how amazing kyle was... oh, then kyle wrecked the field.

usually Tony likes to lead a lot in the 500, but this year, Kyle, Denny and even Jeff were racing so hard for the lead that I think Tony dropped back because it was too crazy up there..it was honestly very intense.. I think he thought they were probably going to wreck each other and who knows how many other drivers felt the same way? Maybe that is also part of the success of Kyle up front so much is that others know that he is not going to give up the lead, not ever and why race that hard early? so, he racks up a ton of laps led..but he does make some moves that probably do outright scare the other drivers.

The thing that is really cool for kyle is that he finally is not the third wheel.. he honestly has so much talent but he was stifled at HMS. Tony said last night that it was Kyle who insisted that the 3 JGR teams all get together to compare notes after happy hour.. that is cool.
No he is not the 3rd wheel he is the # 1. I think he is going to out drive smoke all year.....
