As I recall, Jeff was a punk in his younger days too. Your jealousy is showing.
Jeff was not a punk. You can't be over 12 so how would you know anyways? I'm 27 and don't remember him ever being a punk.

It's about time Jimmy Johnson did a little bit of dirty driving. Watch out Denny is coming back for you.

What did anyone think was going to happen. Did you folks not hear what Denny had to say, that Jimmie did exactly what "he" would have done. Denny didn't whine or cry about it. He knew it was going to happen if Jimmie got to him and he knew exactly what he was going to do if he got back to Jimmie's bumper. Jimmie said he had to drive for his life because he knew there was going to be payback if Denny caught him. Denny took it like a man and earned a lot of respect from me. As for his teammate, Shrub, what can you say. A punk is a punk.

I couldn't agree more. I fully expected Denny to get out and bitch and moan, but he showed that he's got some maturity too him after all. I know he was frustrated and angry (who wouldn't be, wins are never easy to get.) He wasn't frustrated/angry at Jimmie necessarily, just the circumstance of not getting a win, in a race where he felt he was pretty dominant. Denny has proven to be a very good short track racer and you don't get there by not understanding what short track racing is all about. He has no need to pay anyone back and I think he knows that. If in the future, the situation is reversed, he'll do what he needs to do to pass Jimmie (not out of anger, but simply because that's what you have to do at places like Martinsville.) Although I've never really liked Denny, I've always found him to be one of the more respectful drivers on the track and I have no reason to think that won't continue. I could certainly be more of a fan if he handles himself more the way he did at Martinsville (off the track.) So, kudos Denny. I hope this is a sign of things to come in the future. Get mad when you need to, but conduct yourself with some decorum when there no reason not too.

I like your post. Jimmie made the pass with as little drama as possible and Denny was able to control his car. Denny was is a class act.
