WRONG!!!...jmho
All 3 are great drivers, Stewart being the greatest of the 3.
Stewart has too much going on right now. Even he is bound to have trouble concentrating with all the changes and new responsibilities.
Kyle was fine as long as he was winning. He's still a little immature and not handling losing particularly well.
Denny has trouble keeping his emotions in check.

You are apparently a Jimmie Johnson fan. I like him, too, and he currently has none of the above problems. He can stay focused.

Actually, it was the pez dispenser who brought Jimmie up in another thread; I was playing along.
Jimmie is one of my favorites, though, I'll be honest.

They're jinxed for all eternity.. I think I'd be questioning my faith if I was Joe Gibbs.. All the religious stuff they stand for they sure dont get much "devine intervention" for thier efforts.. I dont remember Smoke ever winning a race "easily" like the Hendrick teams do year after year after year.. Yet the gibbs cars are quite often in position to win races, they very rarely get it done.. 9 times out of 10 the car, crew, or driver lets them down.. I've heard Denny say "we just didnt capatilize" at least a dozen times per season that he's been in cup.. Hell, the only way he can get in victory lane is via an act of god..(Ie: 2 tires, no tires, etc.) Kyle seemed to escape the eternal Gibbs jinx for about half a season, but it came back and got him with vengence!! I used to think Tony was crazy for leaving, but it's all becoming clear now.. He's the only one who can see the writing on the wall.. Next season we get to watch Loaf Bread run around in the back with everyone wondering what happened..(Did anyone ever think maybe it was his dad's millions and better equipment that let him win all those go-cart races?? Lets face it, that's basically the level of competition he's experienced winning at..) He ran good for 3 races in the Nationwide car and after that hasnt been able to get out of his own way.. Who else just can't wait till next season??:-/ Go Gibbs!

Is JGR the Cubs of Nascar? Personally, I think Kyle peaked too early, Tony had his head elsewhere while putting together his new deal, and Hamlin? I just don't understand him. I really think Hamlin has some issues and that's causing problems with is racing. And I think JJ and Knauss were waiting in the bushes for the Chase to start----not showing their hand on how strong they were until the right time.

JGR has 3 of the best drivers in the sport, as youve said. Bad luck has kept them from winning, especialy Stewart and Hamlin. Stewart is getting up there in age and although that shouldnt affect him yet, owning a team will. Busch used all his good luck in the 1st 26 races. Mabey if he stops changing paint colors every week he'll win more. As for Hamlin look at the stats. He probably has the worst luck of the 3 during 07 and 08. Last year he dominated much of the 1st half of the season but his pit crew sucked so bad he lost alot of races he should have won. Remember the 1st and 2nd Talledega races, the 1st Martinsville, Daytona, and Richmond races thid year? He lead alot and or dominated those but only won Martinsville and all those that he didnt win were because of bad luck or another driver. Being that he set and broke a few records in 06 and came so close to winning the title, I think he should put the rookie strips back on for good luck. Cause no rookie had ever won the Bud Shootout, made the chase, won both pocono races from the pole (were he kicked ass), finished 3rd in the points (in the modern era), and he was only 60 some points from taking the title. You guys just probably forgot about his 2006 season didnt you?

As a diehard JGR fan (even Shrub has grown on me *shudder*)...I have not forgotten about Denny's rookie season. In fact, I am truly surprised his success did not continue into 2007/2008 to the same extent. I actually said in 2006 that as strong as he was, I predicted a championship for him within 3 years.

Perhaps instead of rookie stripes, Denny should ditch the lakeside mansion, late night partying & get his old girlfriend back instead?? Just kidding on the gf thing, of course, but I do miss the old Denny & hope that he can get back some of his humility & good luck. I am not a big fan of Jimmie Johnson, but he certainly has the maturity factor down and that is a big part of being a champion. If Denny & Kyle can learn that maturity, they will be a force to reckon with in future Chases. Until then, I am afraid it might remain a rollercoaster ride...especially with Tony leaving.

Okay, I understand the reason for the Preparation H but I'm concerned about who's going to bet his butt mopped down with clorox and lysol. Hello, talking about a hot seat!

Oh, heck, I'll do it. I'm accustomed to going into some ungodly places. Just give me some gloves and lubricant. As far as the hot seat, that's the point; nothing nasty and slimy will be able to grow there...

All 3 JGR drivers are awesome drivers but with Smoke leaving and Joey Logano driving the 20 I have concerns. Smoke has made that Orange 20 famous and after watching JL yesterday I don't see how he will be able to keep that 20 car in the top 35 next year. I can't see Home Depot accepting that their car will be riding in the very back week after week.

I had heard rumors (only rumors that I heard, no insight here) that JL wouldn't be driving the 20 full time next year. Hopefully this is the case or even better they find someone full time for the 20 that will give it the same (or close) attitude as Smoke did.

Sliced Bread needs to bake first before it's sliced.
