It is difficult to see a non-complicit entity in "Spin-Gate".

Whether these job fearful persons involved are spotters, owners, drivers, crewman, media, or the sanctioning monopoly......mum's the word.

To save face, stop the bleeding, and possibly preserve fan faith.....someone needs to come clean.

The post scandal cover up is always the lukewarm swill Americans spew out their mouths. Then they walk away in disgust.

Several things from this article to consider. First, forget Burton and Lebonte. They couldn't win if everyone else had to raise in reverse. Second, why put anyone in the car that isn't young enough to be on the UP side of his mountain rather than someone who has gone over whatever his peak is and is on his way down. Thirdly, Penske didn't get hammered like MWR because their possible cheating was only evidenced by a one sided conversation by one of the teams involved. NASCAR has no real way of determining if the pass that was discussed which finally did happen much later was because of the discussion or not. Had the 38 car spun out and created the situation Bowyer did, I'm sure Penske and Front Row would have been stepped on too. Personally, I think NASCAR's only error was not tossing Bowyer out of the chase. It's unfortunate for Truex BUT when your team owner and team members are doing things illegal to benefit you, it's hard not to have complicity. Frankly, I have more sympathy for Vickers than I do for Truex. From listening to the taped conversations, it sounds to me as if he really didn't understand why when he was being told to pit. POS Waltrip just has that natural ability to cheapen or screw up about everything he touches.
