Schumacher a "nobody" in States

Full story: St. Augustine Record

Michael Schumacher apparently can't understand why Juan Pablo Montoya would leave Formula One for NASCAR.

Shumacher never won a Daytona 500, or a Indy 500,so he has no room to talk. If you put Britney Spears in a fast ferrari she could win a championship with a baby in her lap!!!!

I think it will take a lot more than Britney with a baby on her lap to even start an F1 let alone win a race . You see i think that nascars was developed for those drivers that are not able to think , because all they do is go round and round and round..........

Here you go again Dan.(BASELESS). What about the 2001 Brazil Grand Prix Montoya overtook him. The 2006 Canada Grand Prix Montoya also overtook him. Be carefull with all your absolutes...as you can see Schumacher did not destroy him in every single race. See what I mean about baseless comments? What's the point of having a greater numebr of corners when the more corners there are the slower the speeds get? In NASCAR all races are fast, except in the three road courses they compete in.

Ignorant Americans dont educate themselves on international superstars. Thats why most haver never heard of him. F-1 has been around much longer than any american series. Those guys are the best of the best when it comes to drivers. Schumacher is the king of them all.

You mean the Ferrari F1 team is king of F1! Just remember us ignorant americans invented some of that F1 technology that makes them win.

Ignorant Americans...I agree that pretty much sums it up. I dont think they have figured out that there is a world beyond their borders. Shame let them live in their happy little world... You know what they say, ignorance is bliss!!!

Why do you have to get personal there is just as much European technology in nascar . I thought that the topic of discussion was about Schumi , seems like u have nothing better to do other than show the world how petty you Americans are . To get back to the topic at hand JPM was not successful in F1 maybe he has found his place in motor sport , i hope he does well there he needs the boost after his disappointment in F1 . And Schumi is by far a better all round driver than JPM will ever be He is 7 Times world F1 Champion , even in JPM's books that is one mean Occomplishment

Schumacher would shit his pants driving three wide in Indy cars going 225 mph. He has said as much. Michael said the Indy 500 is too dangerous for him. Hell, Michael will almost never overtake an F1 driver on track!!! That's too risky. Let them pit, then turn fast laps. That's how he races. I've watched him his entire career.I've seen him follow guys for laps and when they pit he goes 1.5 seconds faster!! Why not pass them on track if your car is that much quicker? He's a fucking bore. Mansell, Alesi, Senna weren't like that. They raced. Senna once said if you have an opportunity to overtake another driver and you don't take it, you're not a race car driver. Montoya is and always has been what Senna described. Michael is the new, safe model for what an F1 driver should be.

More corners mean more mistakes can be made. A truer test of man and machine... Road courses are the most exciting NA$CAR events...

Schumacher has also never raced in a daytona 500 indy 500... why wouldnt he have room to talk? How competetive do you think the IRL is with only 18 teams? American Racing Series' all about Marketing & Money, not about the racing anymore. Everything has to be "PC"... Montoya is coming stateside because he couldnt cut it on the F-1 circut. If he was winning, trust me he'd be singing the schumacher tune.

I agree that there is a large, ignorant NASCAR population that wants all-american drivers racing all-american cars and shows no real interest in any other form of racing. What you are illustrating is that there is also a large, ignorant population outside of the US that shows no real interest in any US form of racing. I say " a pox on both houses".

Wrong again. Montoya is coming state side because in F1 if your not on one of the top 2 or 3 teams not only do you stand no chance of winning the championship you have no chance of being competative at all. Why be a Rubens or DC hanging around in F1 but being invisible on race day? Why not go to a series where you can compete? I agree that if he was winning he would have stayed. But he went to the wrong team. Did you notice how happy both Montoya and Kimi are now that they are away from Mclaren. Tells you something.

Maybe that's why America cars are very good in formula 1, or any kind of auto races in the world, except in America.
Who is Montoya?? When he had the chance he didn't shown how competitive he was...
How many American pilots is Championís outside US?

There are no alot of American "pilots" outside the US because F1 is not very popular here. It comes on at about 5am Sunday mornings. If American football was broadcast at 5am Sunday morning no one would follow it. So kids here don't grow up dreaming of F1 because they don't watch F1, they watch NASCAR and the Indy 500 and motocross.
