David Reutimann wins 1st Cup race in Coca-Cola 600

There are 7 comments on the www.cooscountydemocrat.com story from May 26, 2009, titled David Reutimann wins 1st Cup race in Coca-Cola 600. In it, www.cooscountydemocrat.com reports that:

He refused a drink. He turned down a sandwich. He even declined an umbrella. Reutimann didn't want to stray too far from his car, didn't want to take his eyes off the ominous weather and certainly didn't want to do anything that might change his luck.

A win is a win; so congratulations to David Reutimann and the No. 00 team. David was far enough back in the field at the time of caution that the potential reward of staying on track outweighed the potential risk.

If NASCAR wanted a more representative result in rain shortened races, they could simply leave pit road closed when the yellow flag is displayed, and then open pit road a couple laps before going back to green flag racing (whether the red flag is used or not).

I also would like to see only half points awarded for races that do not go the scheduled distance.

I have to agree Rocky and Matt Kenseth didn't win the Daytona 500 either.

I agree. I think he was at the right place at the right time is all. He had a field of top drivers right behind him and I think if the race had restarted he wouldn't have won. He's not that good to hold off the faster drivers.

Sore loser because JIMBOB didn't win or have the first pit stall to win huh? Reuti deserved to win more than Jimboob with his stupid new hairdo.

Where did I say anything about Jimmie in that post? And what does his hair cut have to do with anything? There were alot of top rate drivers behind him including your beloved Kyle that could have beaten him.
