Dont forget Dale jr too. All eyes are going to be on him in 08. I think he'll live up to the expectations especially with the Hendrick equiptment he will be getting. He already said he doesnt want to take a break cause he wanted to go test the Hendrick cars for next year. Looks like with that mentallity jrs got his fire back. ;)

<quoted text>I’m doing real good. How are you?
I remember Montoya’s dominance in CART in 1999. It was incredible. He had the fastest hands and reaction time that not many drivers could match. Other than maybe Zanardi.
I read today that DaMatta is looking to return to racing. That would be cool.
I know I loved it, it's funny that Dario was his big competition and now their teamates :) Matta hit the deer right? It's wierd to hear that for me, but I realize it's not uncommon in other places to see deer on the track ! I like that little Moreno he came and ran at Indy last year, he's a cute little funny man. I absolutely love when they come back to racing. Zanardi's trying to come back or came back with hand controls right? I have his fan site on my myspace.

Montoya was close to losing this, when he took that last pit stop I thought LGR would freak out. If he lost the rookie status, but he got clean tires and survived. Congrats Montoya, fans oh and you too LGR.
I'm glad this rookie year is over he's gained a little bit of patience too, I always loved his agressiveness and he could use it in F-1 and open wheel here not so much.

Don't discount him having an aggressive style in NASCAR just yet. Once he figures out how to handle a loose car, he may be able to adopt an aggressive style without wrecking himself or others. Who wants to watch a boring race without drivers taking chances to make things happen anyways - I know I don't. I don't see Montoya settling into the type of driver that is happy to run safely in the pack every race. Besides, if he's going to have a chance to win against the Hendricks cars - he's going to have to be aggressive.=)

I think he's alot more like Earnhardt Sr. but no one wants me to say that, lol. I hope it all works out in his favor I would love to see him use that to his advantage like in F-1. Yeah I love him being aggressive I just hate to hear the backlash is all from other non fans :) Come on 2008 :)

Formula CART was definitely the best place to see great racing and Montoya was incredibly exciting in that category, I remember we would recover from a spin like he was just fixing his shirt. I wonder why Ganassi didn't put him back in CART.

I don't think Juan is interested in open wheel at all, he says he wasn't very happy there and he likes Nascar. I hate this being from Indy but he also said he doesn't care about doing the Indy 500 ever, he's been there done that. I think Chip would put him there if he wanted to go. I mean one race not for the season.

I'd love to see him do a double duty. Race the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600. But i think they changed the starting time of the Indy race.:( But it would be sweet to see Juan in both races. Tony Stewart and Robbie Gordon done it. I think youre referring to Champ Car cause CART doesnt exist anymore unless its Formula Cart your talking about. I dont think Ganassi has a team in Champ Car but has one in IRL. IRL is not really a popular series, not as big as Nascar so bringing Juan to Nascar was a good move. Dont get me wrong i love watching Indy racing. They have exciting races too. But Juan needed a new challenge and watching him duke it out with the best in stock cars was fun watching and i cant wait til 08!

Yep Indy starts at 1 p.m. I think the big wigs frowned on double duty anyways. I think after Robby and Tony did it they felt half dead :) Then they have to decide do you leave Indy early or do you have someone start the other race.

Juan Pablo Montoya can proudly wear the title NASCAR Cup Driver now. He has as much seat time in the COT in competition as any other driver. He won the Rookie of the Year but the way he raced the last half of the season you could hardly call him a rookie. If Chip puts together a COT program worth having Juan is going to be one tough hombra in 2008. Last year this time I wouldn't have given you two cents for what I thought he would accomplish this year. Oh well, somebody pass the crow, please.

Yes after looking at the first couple of races in his rookie season i was excited to see him making risky moves. I would cringe and my stomach became tight hoping he wouldnt wreck when i see him setting up for a move lol. But the second half after winning Sonoma and a good 2nd at Indy he started to calm down and pace himself. What really impressed me the most besides the win was his second race at Bristol and Martinsville. I think he got a top 15 and a top 10. The second Talladega race was good too until he got shuffled back in the last laps. But hey thats Talladega. And your man Jeff showed he can still rumble comming from the back to win. Good job to Juan and Jeff. Even if he didnt win the title he still won as Jimmies owner and showed alot of class which also made me a fan of Jeff. But Juans my man hehe. ;)
