I am not at all suprised he sure make some bone head mistakes last year. Remember when he wrecked Montoya on purpose and they pulled him off the track. That was just one of the many wrecks he caused....

Anyone ever heard the saying "Everyone gets promoted to their first level of incompetence, some higher"? I think this is the case with David. Another case of the second generation driver that gets ahead of himself just because of the name.

This was to be expected, not for anything David did, though he did have his share of mistakes and bone head moves. This came as a result of a team that was in desperate condition needing sponsors and people who could bring money with them. Do you really think Paul Menard would be there without Papa John? Do you think Ambrose would be there if he did not bring a sponsor with him? This was, at one time, a very good team with some of the most HP in the sport, Robert did learn one very good lesson with the partial connection with Roush and that is one never deals with Roush and not expect to be screwed. Jack got the advantage of learning about Yeates HP and how to make it and Robert, well Robert, what did he get?

I thought Gilliland had potential, i just thought he jumped at the wrong opportunity available. I know that he had an offer from RCR to drive a full time Nationwide ride after he won that Kentucky race, but jumped at Yates to replace Sadler in Cup, and obviously he wasnt ready to progress that fast. It's possible that he could've ended up like Scott Wimmer, but i think he'd had a better shot of succeeding in Nascar had he taken the RCR deal instead, maybe he would've been hired for the Cheerios 33 car instead of them hiring Casey Mears.

I don't remember Dale or Ricky being pulled out of race for wrecking someone on purpose. I thought his sportsmanship sucked.....

Well, i usually would agree with you, but since it was Montoya he took out, i dont see a problem with it. Montoya has a habit of being the aggressor, he had it coming to him!

Seriously though, i did think he needed to get some more experience before he signed with a Cup ride, but he jumped at the wrong ride. I think he needed to stay in the Nationwide series as RCR offered him a full time Nationwide ride, either the 2 or 29 car, and that there's a good chance he'd be goin into the 33 or 07 ride instead of Mears, but now is on his way out of the 38. I thought he had potential, but just was not ready for the top series, especially in inferior equipment as Yates has been lately.

I know one thing David's wife is a lot hotter than Travis'! It might have been better for Yates to have kept David, Kvapils wife will scare all the fans off!

Actually, they both suck. I think the reason Kvapil stayed over Gilliland is because Robert Yates hired Gilliland and Kvapil was moved over to Yates by Roush and since Roush is pretty much the dominate domino there, he im sure dictated who would stay. Dont feel that Kvapil is too lucky, he has no owner points going into Daytona and if dont qualify his way in, he's out and possibly will be on the unemployment line after the first five or so races, for which they only have sponsorship for those races.

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Cancer

Happy New Year, Cancer! Are you ready to put those resolutions into place? Not quite?! Crustaceans are never quite sure just how much they can get away with and where to draw the line. You have a flair for the dramatic and when you're the narrator, your exploits become deeds that would make a knight proud. Your fans know you're a hero, whatever history might prove. Audacity impresses most people but if you go to far you could cause offence.
