Earnhardt, Jr., others forced to backups after practice crash

A crash during Friday afternoon's final practice at the Talladega Superspeedway will force five teams to use their backup cars for Sunday's Amp Energy 500.

I thought I heard that Jr. wouldn't have to go to a backup car. I don't know why, though. Maybe somebody knows. If so, let us know. Thanks.

Gee, I don't know where the hydrants are in Pennsylvania are. Could be a problem with logistics...
