Hell, Why complain right? There is alot more racing to come. I have been invited to go to Talladega in April so things are looking up. Got a friend who has an old school bus all painted in Juniors' paint scheme and fixed up inside. Cool as hell, sit in the infield for three days and party and hoot and hollar. What could be better. Oh, I have heard that even though Bush apolagized that Tony got loose and came down some on Bush. Did I hear right? Did,nt sound like Tony made too big a deal out of it which to me is unusual so maybe it was'nt all bush's fault. Just one of those racing deals maybe?

NASCAR = WWE on asphalt

Isn't it interesting that the top teams of all manufacturers were penalized for "cheating" in Daytona? Roush, Evernham, Hendrick, and Waltrip are all well-funded and understand what NASCAR might be looking for during inspection. Think about it: Even the lowest-rung employee at the top teams understands that adding something to your fuel is the easiest thing to detect. Mistake? Think again.

Toyota being slammed with the "stiffest penalties in NASCAR history" is no accident- it was planned by NASCAR to give the naysaying nationalists that are against Toyota something to crow about.

So, Toyota has to endure a "controversy" at their first Cup race (as planned) and just for good measure, NASCAR pops the other big boys, to throw their gullible fans off the trail of how their "sport" is really "governed."

I don't think this is was intended to be a fan site. However, this is a place to discuss the 55 team whether it be good or bad.

I'm not a Michael Waltrip fan. Ten minutes of listening to him makes me ill. However, I did feel sorry for him with what happened in Daytona. I truely beleive now that someone from his organization put the addative in the fuel without his knowledge. Further more, I think they did it without having tested the stuff before hand. We will never know who got fired, if anyone, because they are not going to take the chance of facing the press again when the person saying he was told by someone to do it.

I think the only reason MWR signed DJ is for all the provisionals he will get to guarantee them starting spots in alot of races. I like him too but I think his best days are behind him to say the least.

I see a lot of derogatory remarks made by Jap car owners or Jap sympathizers towards the people standing up for American cars and for keeping NASCAR strictly for cars made in America. If I understand correctly, the name NASCAR stands for North American Stock Car racing, implying North American continent's origin. Let me address this to the Jap sympathizers. if the situation was reversed, do you think the Japs would let American race cars into their racing association? American baseball players who play in Japan cannot win a batting title or other honors. They have to go to a Jap player. we have no such limitations in the US. For years, the Japs have severely limited our access to their markets for all kinds of products, even things like rice, beef products, apples, etc, etc. there is no doubt they make good cars but, they don't practice free trade. they get complete unfettered access to our markets but limit our access to their markets. I blame politicians for this because they let it go on. Some, or a lot of them, must be getting their pockets greased by Jap companies or Jap representativies, I forget the name for it. European countries protect their markets and limit the number of Jap cars allowed in. We should too. the mockers and naysayers out there who will ridicule me for this should remember that they will probably be some of the first ones to complain in 20 or so years when we have no automoblile manufacturing companies left anymore. the Japs are laughing all the way to the bank. anyone calling them allies must be delusional. they must laugh at that one too. if our armed forces were ever put in harm's way to help the Japs, I would be right out there with the protestors saying there is no way that we should do anything.

i miss real racing why does this have to limit the drivers emotionally and what to do this just like when they started the chase, instead let the best man won

"I live in Michigan..where our backs are being broken due to countries like JAPAN and MEXICO.."

Sorry, but Ford and Chevy cars have been made in Canada and Mexico, on the backs of CAnadian and Mexican workers, for years. That's just not going to fly. Toyota is EXPANDING operations in the US, while Ford and GM are leaving to move operations elsewhere. They've been killed by the unions. My uncle lost his job of 30 years with GM and now works at a Toyota plant, where he gets paid better anyway.

Do you realize that Japan holds all the US debt? Yes, they LEND us the money so that we can fight our wars in Iraq and spend, spend, spend from the federal government. If they turned their backs on us, this country would be UP A CREEK without a paddle, Americans would actually have to pay off our debt, and the country would sink into a depression. They're one of our closest allies and we have sworn to defend them as allies.

Where was your computer made? Do you buy any electronics? Do you shop at any store like Walmart, Target, Home Depot or do you make your own things at home? If you shop at any store, you're supporting China because that's where the goods are made. And they're certainly NOT our allies!

NO, Ford and Chevy's money does not stay in America, it goes to Mexico, Canada and recently to China, where they are the #1 car maker and have set up large, expanding operations while shutting theirs down in America.

"No! I want the AMERICAN DOLLAR to STAY in AMERICA.
And as far as foriegn investsment's in America are concerned,I want to purcahse Automobiles, MANUFACTURED, and not just ASSEMBLED here in the UNITED STATES by the BEST WORKERS in the WORLD "THE AMERICAN WORK FORCE" and its not the UNION's as you UNION HATER's are inclined to say either, its the PISS POOR MANAGEMENT these corporations have hired in the last 20 years."

Well, Toyotas and Hondas are manufactured here, while Ford and GMs are not. It is the unions-- my uncle had full healthcare and not even a copay on visits or prescriptions when he went to the doctor, and he and all his worker friends went if they had a sneeze. My mom is a nurse and has the best healthcare plan available but even she has at least a small copay when she goes to the doctor and has to pay for prescriptions. The unions killed the American carmakers! They just demanded too much and GM and Ford gave in for some reason; now they're stuck with $1,500 of every car made going to healthcare.
