They suck in NASCAR, and they suck in Formula 1 also. With 900 employees supporting their efforts in F1 it is amazing that they are not winning more.

Seems money alone cannot buy you everything

I'm so happy to see Dale "I'm a trader, and chase after a few more dollars even though I'm already a millionaire and turn my back on everyone that ever gave me a chance in NASCAR" Jarrett fail. He's a loser and deserves exactly what he is getting.

Your terrible....Dale is a winner and a real gentleman. He decided to take a different route and unfortunetly this year he has struggled. Don't comdem the man, his history is proof in it's self that he is capable of coming out on top if given the right circumstances. Pay attention!

It's refreshing to see a 4th manufacturer compete in the Nextel cup. I wish Honda would get involved, but they don't have a V-8 engine in production. Honda has taken over CART and IRL and I bet they can do it with NASCAR. Not right away, but eventualy.

Jarrett should have never gone to the foreign car WALTRIPTOYOTA. They should not have been allowed in NASCAR after they bought all their tech material from Bill Davis Racing. They (Toyota) are cheats and all these drivers and owners who went to Toyota deserve what they get! TOYOTA SUC_ks!!! Waltrip, Jarrett, Blaney, etc are losers!

Hey moron, it's "traitor", learn to spell the words you are attempting to insult someone with. As far as him being a "traitor"..... let me ask you this: You are working for a company that makes a product. This product is good for a while. Then the company lets an outside management firm come take over the company, and they don't want to improve the product that you KNOW can be improve and HAS to be improved to stay in business. Now people are saying you suck at making your product suddenly because it's no good anymore, and the boss has no intention of changing the product to make it better. Would you stay if you had an offer from another company who makes the product, only better? No, that's what Dale did. It's not about being a traitor to anyone, it's about growing a set of balls and moving on with life.
In case you didn't understand my story, go read about Yates Racing, and why DJ AND Elliott Sadler left.

Honda does have a V-8 racing engine in F1.
But they are not considered a US manufacturer. What NASCAR needs to do is go back to the rule that said the cars have to be the same body lines as the production cars. The cars they use now are windtunnel queens and get rid of the restrictor plates. I had to stop watching NASCAR because of the manufactured competitiveness. No one can run ahead...a fake caution bunches up the pack so they can get a photo finish. There is no incentive to create any new technology to beat the field.

This series is not a testbed for development of any component for a car that will be on the road.

I can't believe UPS has followed Dale Jarrett. They expect so much out of their employees, why not him. He is making had over fist more money than the employees who work no less the 12 to 14 hrs a day. Not family friendly. I worry about a company of that stature than make such a bad decision to go with Michael Waltrip racing and Dale Jarrett!

Just can't understand why a man who owns and operates a huge Ford Dealership will be a trader and move over to drive a Toyota....I guess thats why I am no longer one of his fans.....

And Toyoata IS a US manufactuer ? I must have missed that announcement. Though I don't like some of the things Helton and crew have done, you're way off base (make sure to put back on your tin foil hat) with your comments. It's a sport. I refuse to go to a CART/IRL race because it is the most boring thing I can imagine. F-1 has similar rules to 'equalize' the entries. What happens is the car out in front stays in front unless he's a total putz or the car has mechanical issues. 200 miles on a 1.5 mile oval track running single file is worse than listening to a Michael Bolton performance.

Hold on a minute...

Dale Jarrett got to leave Robert Yates Racing.

ROBERT YATES RACING.

When was their victory? In 2005 with Jarrett behind the wheel. In 2006, Jarrett have NO victories and only one top five.

So he decides to go to TOYOTA who in three years after entering NASCAR gets a Truck Series championship and now DOMINATES that series.

Dale Jarrett is nobody's fool. Robert Yates racing has done NOTHING this year and they are still with FORD. The same Ford who has their cars made in MEXICO.

Jarrett is making more money for the same kind of results he would have gotten had he stayed put. His accomplishments as a driver speak for themselves he has three Daytona 500 wins with to manufacturers and two teams, and a Cup Championship.

He does not have to answer to fans who think they know better than him. He has made more history in the sport than the majority of driver that have competed at the highest level.

That justifies anything he wants to do.
