NASCAR's France says no to gimmicks

But make no mistake, France wants to figure out how to ensure NASCAR has the best racing in the world.

No gimmicks? that's all NASCAR is anymore. And the dumbarse wonders why the seats are half empty. Throw out the dumb rules and let them race. He has created a bunch of ambigious rules that can be tweaked to fit the driver caught. They have identified a hand full of drivers they think are the key to success and they do not wrong..

I'd like a little of whatever France is smoking by trying to convince people that Nascar has "no gimmicks"!. Nascar has been one gimmick after another ever since Bill France Sr. died. They control the outcome of races, who is "allowed" to race and who isn't. The biggest bunch of BS is qualifying. It use to be that if 50 cars show up, the fastest 43 raced and 7 went home. No crap that this guy is a past champion, this one has owners points of whatever they pull out of their comic book of rules that they change in mid-stream to suit who they want to benefit. I was a big Nascar fan at one time but now it's like watching wrestling. It is so fake and staged that anyone who is old enough to remember when racing was racing is either disgusted with it or don't see what is happening.

Maybe it's time for another association that believes in racing "whut ya brung". Enough of the BS with identical cookie cutter cars that look nothing like "stock" cars. Get back to real racing where it doesn't take a fifty milloion dollar budget to field a car for the season. Ho-hum racing is putting us to sleep. Since it's headed in the "Wrestling" direction,maybe we could call today's NASCAR racing "NASCARMANIA" and replace Jaws with Hulk Hulgan.

Wow, truly, if so many feel that NASCAR is such a "gimmick" producing organization, then I have to question why they even follow the sport at all. All the complaining and whining and accuations that prevail from most that post on here really gives me a lot of humorous moments of reading. A 5 year old child mentality at its best. If yall dont like it, then please, refrain from being a partaker of its events on tv and in the media, and refrain from making NASCAR out to be such a joke. Really folks, if it annoys you that much then nip it in the bud and stop punishing yourself by partaking of something that causes you so much distess. Cant any of you find one thing good in this matter?? All the excuses and whining you post just shows how miserable being a fan of NASCAR makes you. Or are you a fan at all?? How could anyone call themselves a fan of something and discredit it so much. If your not a fan and dont watch or partake of NASCAR events,please, refrain from kicking the ones of us that really like this sport and just accept it as it is knowing that nothing, and I mean nothing is perfect. You aint perfect and I certainly know that I am not perfect, nothing is perfect except the love that Jesus extends to us along with His grace and mercy, that is all that is perfect. I havent lost interest in this forum or the events of NASCAR, I have however lost interest in those who constantly complain about something and argue and call names and cuss folks that happen to like NASCAR. Your antics dont detour me, they make me sad for you, Im praying for you all. May you each one be blessed beyond measure today and forever.

No, not really, its the negativity that some exhibit on here with their name calling and total disrespect of others opinions that have caused the decline of users of this forum. I have personally been attacked several times because my opinion was not in line with the abusers on this site. There are guidelines on Topix for us all to comply to. This is a forum intended for civil adult conversation on the Topic of stockcar racing. Instead it is used as a place for folks to bully others and make claims that are totally false. Its a place where name calling and disrespectful wise cracks rule. I just recently was called a POS by a user of this forum, I guess this person thinks language and antics like these make them cool or funny to others, but all it does is show that this world has got to the place that adult and civil conversation cannot exist. Now, just for the record, I am not perfect nor am I claiming to be, I have my faults just like everybody else. I do however choose not to let my faults be the light that guides me, I do not desire to be the coolest or the biggest bully, I just desire to talk stockcar racing in a manner that does not demean or disrespect others. I am not above reporting abuse of this site per the guidelines by Topix. So, cant we all just get along and speak intelligentally to one another??? Cant we stop the bullying and disrespect???

Congratulations to Kahne for getting the pole in Nationwide qualifying. And Mike Joy, Larry McReynolds and Darrel Waltrip are households names in NASCAR.
