I was thinking tonight and wondered about other's thoughts or insight....I'm a Mom and my mind wandered to the youngest person affected by all of this...

Taylor is an Earnhardt and must feel torn between her Mother and siblings. I would imagine that her first loyalty is to her Mom, but I wonder what kind of relationship she has with Kerry, Kelley and Dale Jr on a day-to-day basis? She isn't often mentioned by her brothers and sister. Do you think they include her in family holidays and celebrations, or that she was around Kelley and her family at all when Kelley was going through her surgery?

She is a part of them and I truly hope the rift between Teresa, Kelley and Dale Jr doesn't affect her too much. What I mean by that is I hope the door is always open to her and they put aside their differences when it comes to this young girl....they are the only siblings she has.

I've wondered about this too. Kelly did mention here today once during the news conference. My bet is that they don't consider themselves to be super close but hopefully they do have good feelings toward each other.

I only got to see about 15 minutes of the news conference between meetings at work...what did she say about Taylor? I'm glad to hear that she was at least mentioned...

Thanks!!:O)

My wonder was about what Martha Earnhardt was thinking about Theresa, Dale, and Kelley's rift. I personally don't think Theresa is that involved with the Earnhardt family anymore.

I have heard Taylor is into some sort of competitive horse riding. I think they try and keep her out of the spotlight. I have never even seen a picture of her. I also hope that she stays close to Junior,Kelly and Kerry. They will always be brothers and sisters albeit Half but that should'nt matter.

I agree with this..wasn't it last year that Dale Jr. said that his family spent the holidays at Martha's
house? I don't think Teresa would be involved in
their family because Brenda is..

Taylor was the only kid of DE's that was missing from that segment Dale Jr. did about the yearly Earnhardt Thanksgiving get together that occurs on the Sunday after Thanksgiving every year. They had a family photo in front of the Christmas tree and Taylor was NOT THERE. Junior said he never misses it, or tries not too. I doubt they would have done the photo without Taylor if she was there.

And since Junior didn't speak to Teresa at all from the second week of December (when her WSJ quote was printed) until January, I would gather Teresa wasn't with the Earnhardts on Christmas either. I only hope Taylor hasn't ignored them as well.

Teresa was probably with Menard. It is a shame what I feel Teresa has done with that family. If it were not for their dad setting her up for life who knows where she would be right now. Teresa should realize that these kids of Dale's deserve something for all the times he was gone and they were scattered around. She got Dale when he was starting to get some where while the kids were trying to figure out what would happen next. Dale worked hard for what he had but he also sacrificed two mariages and 3 kids along the way. For people to say they don't deserve DEI, they are crazy. They had a rough life growing up. All people see is the millions That Dale made and what he had but they forget about the kids. Teresa never had the hard times Kerry,Kelly and Junior had. He wanted to make up for all that and Teresa is taking it all away. Those kids and their kids deserve to have DEI someday.

Teresa never had the hard times Kerry Kelley and Junior had?? Do you have any idea what your are talking about???

Dale had nothing, absolutely nothing when he met Teresa. Countless times in the 18 years they were married Dale gave HER credit for where he was. One of the most famous quotes was in the line of "Before I met her, I owed the bank money, now the bank owes me money" He clearly gave her credit for the business end of DEI. You won't get an arguement from me about her lack of ability as far as running a race team is concerned, but to say she doesn't deserve any part of it is ridiculous. She bulit that company with her husband - it belongs to HER. Dale provided for his children in his will. DEI is Teresa's. Oh and one more thing for you Junior worshippers - it doesn't matter where he ends up racing - he'll never win a championship. He just isn't that good.

No! You are the one that is clueless. You better do a little reading about those kid's childhood. It was'nt a bed of roses. And as far as the will goes you don't know squat. His will was written when his kids were young and he never did update it because he did'nt plan on dying so young. HE INTENDED FOR DEI TO BE THERE FOR HIS KIDS AND HE TOLD PEOPLE SO! His big mistake was not updating his will when the children became adults. Your little dig about not winning a championship may make you feel better but his dad won 6 after he turned 32 so be careful what you say. You or no one else can predict the future.

The kids had a lousy childhood because they had divorced parents and a dad who was not around. Dale and Kelly only went to live with Sr because of a house fire and their mom had no place for them to live. This has been stated by all parties several times. As far as a will, there is a difference between the will you leave regarding personal belongings and what happens with a business. If there was a will, it would have had to be filed and those are public information. Dale Sr. was not stupid and although he professed one thing, obviously when it came to the business, it went a different way. It has nothing to do with him passing away at 49. He had owned that business for almost 20 years and rather we like it or not, it went down the way it was arranged. Taylor was the only child under 18. His other three were grown individuals (jr was 26) and the stipulations for such events I can surmise were reviewed over again and again. If there was no discussion on Srs part, then he was a stupid business man. I've worked for several private companies and can guarantee you all of this was covered no matter what the ages of the children were. The last company I worked for the owner was in his early 50's and had a very weird accident which took his life. The company was left to his wife and the kids were not included. For someone to tell me well he meant it to go to the kids and it was not set up that way, I don't believe that.

Bed of Roses - were they physically or mentally abused? Did they starve? So their parents were divorced and Daddy remarried - let's also not forget Mommy took off back to Virginia, remarried and only saw them once a year for most of their lives. That's tough on any kid, but it was Dale and Brenda's fault, not Teresa's. It's also no kind of an excuse for a 32 year old man to use cause he can't get it done! Walk on Water Boy and his Big Sister should grow up.

Dale didn't plan on dying so young. No shit Sherlock! Do you know anyone who does have a plan in case they kick it before they're fifty?? I don't. Dale's will was exactly the way Dale wanted it.

Dale intended DEI to go to his children. Of course he did - who ever debated that? But none of his children are capable of running that company at this point in time. They haven't the maturity, savvy or business sense. Not one of 'em. Maybe in 10-15 years, but certainly not now.

Winning a championship. All that was based on was watching him drive over the past 7 seasons. You can't even begin to compare him with the likes of Gordon, Stewart, Johnson, Kenseth, jeez, there are a dozen drivers on the circuit more talented then him. He's good, but not championship material.

Just Always Remember, What come's Around, Go's Around......DEI is no longer DEI, And odds are she will lose it all, Probably by dieing a Horrible Death....I'm not saying that to be mean, but most of the time, that's the way it goes. The words of The Late, Great, John Lennon...Instant Karma's Gonna Get You....Teresa, Beware....LOL...
