they are not in captivity, meaning in a cage, fenced in, some type of structure that they can't get out of. they are on the campus fo the National Conservation Training Center, up in a tree. They are free to go anywhere they want.

don't forget about my boy montoya. Wins in formula 1 in Monaco, Indy 500 winner, even though he has only one NASCAR win, he has showed, and proved a lot last year, and continues to be at the top of the speed charts this year, despite some bad luck. My hopes are high for the 42 team this year.
I used Tony as the example (the exception to the rule if you think about it), because he has 37 wins, to point out to 3toes that the original posting was comparing current NASCAR drivers, NASCAR wins to Jr. Whereas 3toes brought up drivers with different disciplines, and was comparing oranges to apples. I think that those drivers that come into NASCAR have had a very hard time of it; think Hornish, Speed, Juan, Ambrose, Allmindinger, etc (I think Danika will also have a hard time). It's different and even Juan has said how hard it is in NASCAR. As far as that bunch, I think Juan will break out and have a success in NASCAR; wins and championship in the future.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to find wrong in what you said, just wanted to put the montoya thing out there. He's really come a long way, and I think he's really enjoying himself out there. You are definately right that there's no reason to think because a driver has had success elsewhere that they will be successful in NASCAR, totally different animal altogether. I have really found myself pulling for drivers like montoya and Ambrose because it's fun to watch them as they get better. Both of these guys are total characters too which I love. I think it's great for NASCAR and I applaud both their efforts.

Jr NEVER said "this championship thing is in the bag". He did say that he was going there to CONTEND for championships. Please clean your ears out a little bit better.
Let's keep in touch and talk again in June, to see who's correct. I think if they keep making improvements and stay consistent, he'll have a win by June and 3 by the end of the year.
What I said was, "Joonyer had that this championship thing is in the bag look on his arrogant face". I did not say Joonyer said the thing was in the bag. Clean your Bigkahuna1 ears out or try really hard to understand what you are responding to......before you actually open your mouth ok little dude. I thank you in advance.

It may have been easier for someone to understand you had you used proper punctuation, please only use quotation marks ("") when you are quoting someone. I thank you in advance.

There will be 10 drivers going to Martinsville this weekend that are in the top 35 that have never won a race. There are another 16 drivers going to Martinsville that are in the top 35 that have won but not as many as Jr. Which means that there are only 8 drivers in the top 35 starting the race this weekend that have more wins than Jr. Considering the number of superstars in NASCAR at present, I think this speaks very well for Jr.
You can pick and choose ignorant #'s to make Buckshot Jones or Scott Speed sound like great NASCAR drivers. What you haven't stated is how many of the drivers in the top 35 have been NASCAR regulars for as long as juhnyer. Of those, how many have driven or are driving for the best team in history? juhnyer has the best equipment, personnel, and opportunity and he blows the chance to take the winning cars to victory lane because he makes stupid mental errors every week by speeding in the pits, missing his pit box, blowing engines, burning up brakes, etc. There are AT LEAST TEN drivers that could jump in the 88 car and out perform juhnyer drastically. No driver with equipment as good as juhner has had throughout his career has performed as poorly as he has. That is a FACT!

Just curious, outside of the confines of NASCAR, how many races has jr won??? There are a lot of drivers presently in NASCAR that have won many, many races not under the wings of NASCAR, does that in turn make them an inferior driver to jr because they have not won as many in NASCAR as jr???
My post has nothing to do with anything outside of NASCAR. It was a comparison of Jr. to his peers in NASCAR. It WAS NOT an indictment of any of these drivers accomplishments in any other race venue. If your attempt to diminish Jr.'s accomplishments was to disparage his wins in NASCAR in comparison to other drivers wins in some other form of racing, then answer this question, why are they here in NASCAR trying to compete? Montoya was a great driver in every racing venue he had run in before coming to NASCAR but has done no better than Jr. since coming to NASCAR.

Please read about the nest of which is in a protected area, but the eagles are not in an enclosed compound such as a zoo. The eagles are free to fly and hunt and go where they please. The eagles just happen to come back to this nest every year for the last 4 to 5 years to have their young. Sorry about posting this info on this site, I just thought there might be some people that might find this interesting, and educational for their children, evidently I was wrong.

Compare this....Who in NASCAR has gotten more exposure on NASCAR and NASCAR publications than jr, and I mean from the very beginning of his appearance in NASCAR. I don't mean sponsors, I mean how NASCAR has shoved and continually shove jr in everyone's face. I laughed at the comparison of jr to Greg Biffle!!! How many times do you see Biffle mentioned on NASCAR publications???
Comparing jr to a mid level drive with practically no coverage by NASCAR to jr...what a farce!!! Jimmie Johson wins FOUR championships in a row and jr is still the top dog in NASCAR...gimme me a break. No wonder there are so many empty seats at the track. It's just the same in politics, people are tired of being told one thing, while the truth is evident. There is no wonder jr is the most popular NASCAR driver,'cause he gets the most publicity by NASCAR, past, present and probably the future.

very true new fans come in that dont know anything, the see jooonyer shoved in your face, they see him as the most popular, and they say "ohh this guy must be real good i like him" then they find out he sucks and is just a tool, and they get turned off, nascar needs to pull the plug on the nation and start marketing another driver, the truth is at the end of the day nascar can make anyone they want popular

In other words; false advertisment.

I do have a question for you.

Are you stating that GB is a "mid level driver"?

Compared to jr, every other driver in NASCAR is at mid level...The Lords of NASCAR only allow for a one seated throne, and that is ocuppied by jr and they quit taking applications back in 2001. No matter what jr does(last year with a 25th place in the points is a prime example) NASCAR will always give him the top billing. Anytime you log on NASCAR, there is always some kind of thread, poll, regarding jr......Empty seats?? I wonder why....

What you say about new fans may be true, and reason for low ticket sales, but if you take out all the Jr fans, you have alot more empty seats! I think JJ deserves alot more coverage for all he has accomplished, you think his fan base would be huge. It is not Dale's fault, blame Nascar and the media.
