Wow the thought of Jr driving a Toyota must have caused more than one cardiac arrest.

I really don't like the thought of MY tax dollars subsidising Jr's lavish and party & posse lifestyle.

I don't think they should get government money as long as the are supporting NASCAR. Let Jr make up for the "Chevy" portion! JMO

I am not sure how much $$ the domestic car makers spend on NASCAR, but I have a feeling that it is not without some sort of payoff. There is a tremendous amount of "free" advertising that accompanies these contracts.

Very little of my tax dollars filters down to Dale Jr. The bulk of his wages come from the other sponsorships. So if you are purchasing products for which he advertises, you are supporting him.

By the way, are you not the one who was talking about going to school on the govt's dime. If there is anyone leaching money from their fellow Americans, it would be you. Before you spout off about "your tax dollars" be careful......

As for your "frenzy" comment, I did not see it here - so if you are baiting the posters on this site, you probably won't get much.

It was a prank and most (note the word MOST) people on here were intelligent enough to see through the charade. Of course, as PT Barnum said,'there is fool born every minute", and obviously he was right.

Well your opinion sucks. What about all the other chevy drivers. Why are you just picking on Jr??
Maybe Florida don't like their tax dollars going for your free ride to go to school since you have money to hire someone to check out Jr and Nascar..

I want to know what business it is of her's if Jr. and DEI cheated on Restrictor Plate Tracks? None whatsoever. They didn't cheat. If she's got money to hire PI's[which I think is a lie} then she's got money to go to school. Quit freeloading JR8er

I have legally applied for and received, and am in good standing with my educational grant. If I fall below a 3.0 I have to reimburse for the entire term...there is not one thing wrong with that.

Jr on the other hand is a spoiled brat who had everything handed to him on a silver platter and has the gall to have the government fuel his gulfstream V.

Trust me I would not buy even one Jr sponsored item. In fact I like spy sunglasses but won't buy or wear them since Jr wears them. "Amp" yea right! Chevy? H&ll no! Strictly Acura, Honda or Toyota...maybe VW. I bought thousands of domain names years ago so no need for "go-daddy".

I do work and pay taxes and am pissed that I subsidise Jr's lifestyle. If you think he does not get a direct payment from GM you are not as smart as you think!!

Heck GM has pretty much put all of their eggs in the Jr basket to sell their cars and trucks. I have heard of people in NE Florida buy a Chevy for no other reason than they think it is somehow helping Jr...pathetic!!

The day is going to come, and it will come sooner than you think that questions will be asked as to exactly how the 8 and the 15 won all those restrictor plate races...there are many more people than me who won't let this travesty be buried.

I will come out and say it! It is my opinion based on several factors that Jr cheated his @ss off to get those restrictor plate wins...I mean come on...Waltrip did not win before, or since, Jr has won only once more at a r/p track! It all defies logic...but I guess not to a Jr lover!

Ok, it is your OPINION that he cheated. It doesn't make it a fact. Fact is, Jr and the DEI Program had the best restrictor plate package, that did not come from cheating. If they did, they had a good way of hiding it from nascar. It's only cheating if you get caught.

I begrudge no one who needs the money any of us pay in taxes to help them get an education. I do however begrudge someone who has openly said that they have chosen to pay a private investigator to follow someone, then use my, as well as every other tax payers money to go to school.
Answer this: Did You Use our Money To Pay The Investigator? I am not certain I really want to know the answer to that question but it needed to be asked!

Travesty? You are a nutcase. He did not cheat. Just because DEI happened to have the best restrictor plate program there was and dominated at those tracks does not mean they were cheating. It means they knew what the h*ll they were doing.

There is no investigator, she is lying. They would ask her what business of hers is it to know this stuff. It's none of her business at all.

First of all, congrats on your grades. Having been through under grad and several post grad programs, a 3.0 GPS is not always easy. Keep up the good work.

That being said, I did not say that GM does not give $$ to Jr (or any Chevy drivers for that matter). I am sure any driver who fires up a Chevy, Ford, or Toyota on Sunday gets some sort of kick back. This is not a situation that is unique to one driver.

It is well within your right, and every other American, as a consumers to purchase or not purchase products. You choose to avoid Jr products, others choose to support it. There is nothing "pathetic" about either side of that coin.

In your statement you said that if I did not think that Jr gets money from Chevy I am not as smart as I think. Then you said that people buy Chevy's to help Jr. That is a conflict. You see when "pathetic" people buy Chevys, they support GM. GM in turn, has money to pay Jr.

As for getting govt money. You went through legal chanels as I am sure Jr has done as well. I would like to see the proof the govt is paying for his fuel. Please provide that information.

If you have enough money to drive Acuras, Hondas, and Toyotas - if you have enough money to hire private investigators to check out Jr, NASCAR and restrictor plates - if you have a trust fund (that you mentioned before, I think)- MAYBE, just maybe you should not be throwing stones at people who leech money from the system. Because, you very easily could pay your own way.

You see, my daughter carries a 4.0 in college and unfortunately, given our income, we qualify for nothing. Her dad and I are footing the entire bill, and obviously part of your bill too. I understand your frustration when you feel you subsidize someone else's lifestyle. I feel the same way about you. If you have money for private investigators and Acuras, you could pay for your education too. The govt lets you do it, so I am not mad at you personally. I hate the fact our govt allows you to go to school for free but not my child. But I am glad you can go. I just think the money they are giving to you should be channeled to someone who cannot afford to go. You obviously have the means to support yourself on your educational journey.

I guess some of that money did go to pay for the REASEARCH I conducted.

I actually wrote a paper titled: "Manufactured Champion", Dale Jr, Cheating, and the sanctioning body that helped him do it! It was a research paper for a psych class, and I got an A.

My professor was amazed at how I made the point, that the American public is so easily smitten when the marketers and franchise get together to sell us a bill of goods.

I was actually able to write off what I spent on an investigator as an "educational expense". My professor accepted the investigaton report as an approved refrence...pretty good huh?
