So do you think in the coming weeks it will be the one who handles the pressure the best that comes out champ? Tony has been known to do his best when his back is against the wall and time is running out and pressuere is on.

The one that handles the pressure the best just took the lead today. Don't look for him to hand back to anyone very easily.

If he wins a fifth you can put a fork in Nascar. You think you saw empty seats this year, just wait.

I think now that Denny has lost the lead you will see him push and make mistakes. Tony will fight to the end but he may have been in too deep of a hole from the first two races. Unless something happens to JJ that is out of his control I think this is his to win. But I don't think that will help nascar at all.

Harvick seems to be hanging around that top 10 and may be the only one left at Homestead with a chance to beat JJ.

In many many people's minds, they agree strongly. There's probably a vast majority that includes fans of the 48 team.

But who's fault will it be if this happens?? Seriously. What's it take for someone to go out Carl Edwards style and stick a bumper to him and end his day? Premeditated, I mean. Just go out on the track and sabotage something in your own car and collect JJ in the wreck. Or race him hard and spin into him or somethin, right?

Like A.J.'oops my brakes, thanks JJ for saving me from the full-force impact of the Wall'mendinger.

I don't agree whatsoever. You JJ haters seem to think Nascar will end if he wins, but you're wrong. Even if that did end Nascar, than good riddance. If people in this sport are such fair weather fans and bad sports than Nascar should end.

That would be a great legacy for Jimmie. He was so good that everyone who didn't root for him pretty much thought he was unbeatable, so they quit watching. That would just solidify that he was the best who ever lived. Petty couldn't kill the sport, Earnhardt couldn't do it. People thought someone cold beat them, but Jimmie made you all go away. What a feather in his cap. It's obvious that many of you believe that he can't be beat (more so than his fans and we believe pretty strongly.) Why else would you hope for someone to drive dangerously and feel like your only hope is for someone to purposely take him out? That tells me all I need to knows about just how good and dominant you believe him to be. Makes being a Jimmie fan all that much more gratifying.

I don't believe that I would be clearing a spot on the shelf for that trophy yet if I were Jimmie...there's always Dega. Plus Jimmie doesn't pwn Charlotte Motor Speedway anymore. I still wouldn't count anybody out yet...except for poor Clint.

There have been those tracks the last 4 years too though. Jimmie still runs well in Charlotte, plus 'Dega can bite anyone, not just him. It's a close year though and I'd agree a lot of guys are no where near out of it. All it takes is a good run by someone to wrap this thing up or a good run by several guys to make it fun 'til the end.

I'd still put my money on Jimmie though. If he pulls it off great, if not than on the next year.

JMO but between Brians alcahol laden life and Jimmie "without Chad and HMS money I would be racing "wreckin' Robbie Gordon" for 23rd" I think you can put a fork in Nascar.
People just are not interested in a Confirmed Cheater as Champ.
Or as Debi calls him Chimp.
He does not have support of real race fans.
His sales prove that. For being a four time champ you do not see much 48 wear. Fans have voiced their opinion as well. And you can blame him for a portion of the empty seats. No one wants to see him win. They will save their money for dirt or drag racing.

Funny, I'm a real race fan, and I don't just mean Nascar, and I like Jimmie just fine. I also have friends, relatives and acquaintances, some of which know more about racing than probably 99% of Nascar fans who like Jimmie just fine too. Some of them obviously root for many other drivers out there, but some like Jimmie. Also, you might want to look up some popularity ratings and memorabilia sales numbers before you say there isn't much 48 gear out there, it'll show that you at least do some research before you post. People see what they choose to see and people like you choose to be blind.

You go ahead and keep making up info that you can't prove and pretending like one of the greatest drivers ever in Nascar has no talent. I'll keep on refuting all that nonsense and make you look bad in every post that I refute. The numbers speak for themselves and the numbers say Jimmie is among the best there's ever been. Where you people got this crazy idea that someone has to be popular with a bunch of delusional morons is beyond me. You see, at the end of the day, Jimmie will be sitting in those record books and the fools who try and deny what he's done will be long forgotten. You can keep playing that little game though, and some people may even fall for it, but I know all of you Jimmie haters are full of sh**, so don't bother with me. You'll just be made to look as foolish as you show with these kinds of posts.

I especially love when you people try and pull that, "true race fans" card out. That just makes me chuckle every time. Than you go on to talk about cheating and having the best equipment and blah, blah, blah. Same old broken record. Anyone who's a true race fan should understand immediately that you have no clue about how Nascar has been done since the beginning or how it's done today. So please! Spare yourselves the embarrassment of any more of that nonsense, because the only thing I see (or any true race fan) is: A- Someone who has minimal to zero knowledge of how Nascar works or B- Someone who's jealousy is so raging inside of them that they can't even see how foolish they sound to reasonable people. I'll let you all decide which you are, but real race fans, I think not.

Well take away Chad and HMS and let's see how well he does?
Like has been stated it would be fighting "Wreckin Robbie Gordon for twenty something place." lol love that name !!! I think you protest to much and quite frankly that means deep down you know us real race fans are right...lol... He can win as many championships as The France's want to hand him..It will not make him a champion in the majority of fans eyes( you know the real race fans that see the lack chanpionship potentialand know real racing when they see it)..if anyone thought he had talent you would see 48 gear at the track....Have a nice night though :P

Actually,, it is entirely PIT ROAD.. hopefully Denny, Kyle, Tony, Biff, Kevin, Kurt, Clint or nonchasers will GET THE POLES THE REST OF THE RACES!!!!! watch the pit selection to have the 48 team pick from the crappy position Jimboob qualified in... 21st should have a CRAPPY pick... that is WHY qualifying is important... if they can prevent Jimboob from having a clean out to the track off pit road... this chase is ANYBODIES!!!!

Yea, people say a lot of dumb sh**. The thing about people saying dumb sh**, it doesn't become any more true with the retelling. Way to follow up in that same broken record style. Do you all share a single mind? Guess you must have received the use of it for this post eh?

I did indeed have a nice night. I'm a Jimmie fan after all. We always have nice nights. I would say I dreamed of another championship, but we Jimmie fans don't have to dream. We leave that to you Jimmie haters. That's the only place where your nonsense rants even approach being true and the only place where you guys are classified as, "true race fans." Oh! Too funny! I can't even say it without laughing.

You have a nice day and keep up the daydreaming. If you get the use of the brain back, feel free to post again. Guess it doesn't matter though, whatever is posted by all of you will be the same gibberish anyway, so one of your cohorts can just post for you.

Yea, as was evidenced by his 21st starting spot and 2nd place finish. Good observation! You have certainly proven your point, just as you always do in your posts. Please keep it up. We'd all love to see the genius that comes from you true race fans.

Wow! You people are so delusional that you actually believe drivers and crew chiefs read these forums or give a damn what you have to say, about anything. Oh Wait! What was I thinking. You're the same people who believe Jimmie has no talent. I'm sorry! Carry on with your foolishness and don't worry, we won't take you seriously. We won't hold it against you either. You don't know any better.

Nothing to see here people. Just another broken record. You've all seen them before, so no reason to stop and stare. It's about as interesting as watching paint dry.

Carry on.

Fat my pumkin.... you are entitled to your opinion but just like the Frances handing jimmie championships and thinking no one will notice he has no talent..doesn't make him a champion ....and it does not make you right.. but you can cling to your opinion and thought that he is the man ...Just do not be surprise when few share your opinion on Jimmies greatness or his being a "champion". We true race fans not only no better and are leaving the sport in droves. Fact the majority are watching from home..not worth going to track.
