It's about dang time! He's terrible. Hopefully Newman or Kurt Busch gets the seat. I'd like to see Bobby Labonte get a shot at a decent ride too. But I'm sure that's a longshot for his age.

Newman had a better and could fill sponsorship that shr could not. It's better marketing and pr for quicken to keep loyalty to sponsor and driver.

Montoya was released because he has produced little in the flagship car for ganassi. Plus at the end of the day who would you want in your car, Montoya or Kyle Larson?

Well, there'll probably be some openings in the start and park rides. Oh Oh, here's an idea. Start his own start and park team. I hear Jeremy Mayfield has lots of neat car parts hide out around in locations the law hasn't found yet. He could get Jeremy as a technical advisor, as long he doesn't really have to go on any NSCAR property. seriously, I don't see any major team making an offer for his services.

I think Kyle Larson is going to be the next young superstar in the sport. I think you're right about him not being ready for Sprint Cup but with some seat time in a quality Nationwide car, I think he's headed for stardom.

Gordo ain't so special, whoyakiddin...

JPM: If you look at the bigger picture, how many employees are at Hendrick [Motorsports]? More than 600, and we have 170. Somebody told me that there's more engineers at Hendrick than personnel at Ganassi. So when you're racing every week against them, yeah, you might have a shot a couple weeks a year because they screw it up and you got it all right, but being realistic, year-round ain't gonna happen.

I'm hoping for a Childress ride for Kurt, but landing at EGR wouldn't be a bad thing

First, let me say, Jeff is my driver and has been every day he's been in NASCAR. Second, you're right, he's not special, not anymore. He's like me, he's climbed his mountain, stood on the summit and enjoyed the view for a while but time has the oddest effect. It takes you down the back side of the mountain after a while. But, he'll always be Boy Wonder for me and a lot of others. Jimmie is on the summit of his mountain right now. Yeah, you're right. Week in and week out, there isn't many weeks in the racing season that a Hendrick car isn't the favorite to win. It's took Rick 30 years to build his dynasty but everything comes to an end sometime.
