If thats what he has to do to get a car that runs, then do it. I know he is capable of winning
and think him stepping out of his car was a mistake and a disappointment to his fans at least to me. I have been a fan for 20years and I believe in him. I wish he wouldn't step out of his car for TNT I travel from Mi. to Fla. to see him race and now he isn't in his car.

I have been a Kyle fan for years and years. He once had Petty Enterprises 2 for some independence, but took over as Richard aged. He's been working so hard trying to keep Petty Ent. afloat, his career suffered. And the loss of Adam devastated him of course. He still has the fire. If you listen to his race radio on Sundays, that is obvious. He's so disgusted when they give him a piece of junk to drive! He certainly has the ability. He may not have a huge number of wins, but he has impressive numbers of top 5s and 10s until he went to Petty Enterprises. I hoped that the new management would pull up both teams, but if they try and make Kyle a casualty, he should leave, go to a quality team and kick some ass!

I want to tell a Kyle Petty story from waayy back in the day. I was a young radio announcer just starting out my career, and was at a local Citgo Gas station in Stroudsburg, PA, for a live radio broadcast. Kyle was driving for the Wood Brothers if memory serves. He spent 90 minutes with me at the broadcast, and was the absolute nicest person to each and every fan that showed up. It cannot be very easy to follow in the footsteps of a legend like his father, but he's shown through the years that he is a true gentleman, and a class act. I'll always be a fan of his no matter where he finishes. I check the grid every week to see where he starts, and where he finishes. I don't really consider myself a Nascar fan. I've been to Pocono once for a practice session, and the noise on the track with only 7 cars on it was enough to keep me away. Kyle Petty is the man!!
