Just a racing deal. Gilligan had as much to do with that melee as McD. Can't blame them for good hard racing. If they didn't do it, you'd all whine they are were too vanilla.

He fits the "team" image!
He sure wrecked a lot of good race-cars! Oh, and he also wrecked a couple of bad-race cars, also, like POS, after causing POS to..........wall-bang!
Wonder how the meeting in the trailer went with Mafia Mike and Mr. Magoo?
LMAO--Yank!
I sure would have loved to have listened in on that meeting!!!! Perhaps, Benito is in charge of giving them a good spanking, huh????

It was an "f" up and we sure have seen a lot of those.

Remember, when Matt ran into DJ before they even made the first lap? I never did get an explanation as to why Matt just banged into him! I hope DJ gave him a good talking to.

if it's not fun now, stop watching and go away. We'd all love that. Have a great day now.

Racing should be about passion. If you don't have the passion go away.

Exactly. He's making rookie mistakes like they all do. No biggie. Gilligan & McD were racing hard and Gilligan and the rest of them got the worst of it. Many drivers have WON races doing the same thing.

He admitted they were BOTH(him & Gilliland)responsible for hard racing. You really should pay attention more Trip.

How's Florida today? I miss being there. Maybe in a couple of years hubby can get stationed back there.

Are you kidding me? He flat out slammed into Gilliland, which caused the whole demolition derby. He was rushed into cup, practicing on a fu*king simulator ok. Thats the second time hes caused a mess on the track. MW should close the 00 and put McDowell in the 99 in Busch, where he should be.

It's called hard racing. If you don't like it, quit watching NASCAR. I guarantee you if that were Tony, Junior, Jeffy, Shrub, or JJ doing that, nobody would care. They'd just say "It was a racing deal and Gilligan shouldn't have been racing him that hard anyway. He got what he deserved."

Fact is, McD had the line, Gilligan tried to run him hard for it and got the worst of it. Too friggin bad. Gilliland won 1 little Nationwide race and thinks he's "da man". He shouldn't be in Cup racing.

I do have to agree with Fordman that McD should have spent seat time in the Nationwide car before moving to Cup but everyone, including NASCAR felt he had enough experience running Arca and all that.

Yea well McDowell never won a Nationwide race and here he is racing in cup with little experince in the COT and all he does is wreck cars. First Texas, now Watkins Glen. O and I wouldve blamed shrub, heck even junior, but they dont really make stupid rookie mistakes like that. Plus I think the 00 teams days are numbered, as I heard UPS is gone, and Aarons is gonna sponsor the 44. If I were MW, I would close down the 00 team, and quit wasting everyone else's time and put him in the Busch car, and wait a year or two, to see if he can even win a nationwide. Now I hear Joey Logano is coming to cup. Damn, why does everyone rush these kids into cup?

Remember the year that Harvick ran over Gordon while Gordon was out of gas in the middle of the track at Indy? That was a funny one, Harvick said he shouldn't have been sitting in the way. Mabe old Gilligan should have gotten out of the way.
