I lost interest and turned it-the standings say that both Mark Martin and Dale Jr. were out of the race..did they wreck or have equipment failure?

Well, gee, when their engines blow up, what the hell else are they suppose to do, rip the floorboard out and Flintstone it? I wouldnt be bragging, before they had mechanical failures, at least both Mark and Jr were able to stay on the lead lap! Did Mears do that? I THINK NOT! I wouldnt get so cocky, Miss Smartass!

Yea, just like Mears is making Bowyer bad huh? HE HE HE! Casey Mears is given a chase contending team and crew chief, just like last year when he inherited Kyle Busch's team, and he's pissing it away again. And im sure your going to say that Mears had mechanical problems again, or whatever excuse, however the last two races that has been Mark Martin's problem, not his driving. I see Mark Martin moving up and Mears continue to go strait back! Isnt it amazing that Bowyer is doing ten times better in a more challenging team since after all Bowyer got the new team while Mears got the more experienced team and crew chief, Bowyer second in points, i wonder who's the better driver of the two? Looks like Jack Daniels got screwed!

Well you got me on that one Lol Lol. Casey did not have mechanical problems at Daytona, however he had a shock problem at Fontana, and a cut right rear at Vegas. And I 100% agree that Clint is a better driver than Casey. Mark has had bad luck as of yet but so has Casey. Casey will settle in and make the chase this year. I have a feeling Mark will not.

I still believe it'll be the other way around, Martin makes the Chase and the Jack car doesnt. Your right, there's still alot of time left, but i was thrilled to see Burton and Bowyer finish up front.

I doesn't matter where you start it's where you finish that counts LoL. I am disapointed for Mark Martin, I like him, but you have to admit Casey has had bad luck (just like Mark has had), the las 80 laps of the race this weekend Casey's lap times were in the top 5, but not much you can do when your 2 laps down due to a stupid 2 tire pit call by Gil Martin that made the care wreching loose and Marcos Ambros ediot tire man who ran out to get the tire. I know you don't like Casey but it seems that when the race starts the car is not right, but when Gil Martin makes adjustments by the end of the race the 07 car is a top 5 car, the bummer is that Casey is usually down a lap by that point and it doesn't matter.

Yea, but the problem is when has the car ever been right for Mears? He had started meshing with Ganassi when he left the 42 ride, by his choice as he was offered a contract extension by Ganassi, and he decided to split for Hendrick, which yea it was a great organization, but like Sadler, drivers think they are getting a great team as Sadler thought he'd get equipment as Kahne had and Mears thought he'd get teams like Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, but there was a reason that Vickers left Hendrick and there was a reason Mayfield's team was running so poor. It's not necessarily the equipment as it is the people as the 19 didnt have a very good crew chief as Kahne did and Vickers obviously couldnt get the job done, granted he's a overhyped joke as far as racecar driver to me, but Mears should've stayed in the Havoline Dodge instead of going to the National Guard Chevy.
I have to say that i think Gil Martin is a very good crew chief and as a Dale Jr fan, i'd rather have him for Jr instead of Tony Jr and i'd rather have Alan Guftason, crew chief of the 5 car and Mears former crew chief, over Tony Jr. Mears has worked with better crew chiefs than Jr (Donnie Wingo on the 42, Gutason on the 5, and Gil Martin on the 07 this year) and Mears cant find it, if he even has it. I hate it for Mark, i truely do, and if anyone has worst luck than Jr, it has to be Mark Martin. Crew chiefs are so mysterious on determining if they are good or not.
I questioned Gibbs leaving Steve Addington as Kyle Busch crew chief because when Steve was with JJ Yeley, they could win a race if they were the only car on the track. I thought for sure they'd get rid of Addington with Yeley, and when they didnt, i thought Kyle Busch would be again the third man in a three race team organization, but i wrong. I questioned RCR for making Scott Miller crew chief of Jeff Burton and when he put Gil Martin with Bowyer and even this year i thought RCR wasnt thinking well when they put Shane Wilson over Bowyer's new team, but apparently RCR knows diamonds in the wraths because all those pairing have worked out great. If Mark doesnt get it this year, he only has a one year contract and he could retire next weekend and feels he accomplished it all in Nascar, can Mears say that? This is Mears last chance, and the way it's going now, i dont care how long his contract states, he'll be out by the end of this year.

I kind of agree, if Casey doesn't find it this year and make the chase, Richard will probably get rid of him. I agree with you again in that Casey should have stayed with Ginassi and been the #1 driver for that team, Donnie Wingo and Casey worked well together. I have it for Mark as well, even though I am a Mears fan, I wish for Mark to win the champiochip, he is one of the greatest drivers of all time and he's a great guy.

It'll be interesting to see. I wonder what will happen with the Jack sponsorship. Last year, RCR had the chance to get UPS, and Childress really wanted them too, and he wanted to give up his Jack sponsorship for it, but Jack wouldnt budge and held to their contract so of course they're still there. I think UPS had alot more money to offer than Jack because when Jack came aboard, they replaced the worst car at RCR at the time when AOL left, so i think Jack Daniels got a pretty good deal on money cost of the sponsorship deal. Well, now of course UPS is with Roush and i dont see them leaving there for a while, but if Mears doesnt perform and is let go after this year and if Jack decides not to re-up with RCR because they may feel like RCR tried to force them out, or better yet, RCR ask for more than they are willing to pay, i wonder who would be in that car next year?
With sponsorship so tight due to the economy, i dont see RCR NOW letting them get away and they'll probably be back, but i have to say if they were to leave, RCR is the BEST at getting sponsors to come and join his organization. He got CAT to replace AT&T on Burton's car, got Cheerios to fund his fourth team, and had to turn away sponsorship from UPS, and that is a pretty damn good sponsorship guy! I have to say though, it'd be nice to see Napa back on a Chevy, and if Jack leaves, i hope RCR dumps that 07 number, i have those numbers like #07 and #00, you either have the #7 or you dont and the 0 number is available now as well. It'd be great to see the #30 or #32 Napa Chevy replace the #07 Jack car, maybe with Truex behind the wheel!

Ouch!!!! LoL. Like Ricky said I hope he gets some confidence back soon, and Ricky would know about casey's talent, he's raced against him. Overrated (at this point, probably). We'll see how the rest of the year goes. Happy for Mark this weekend though. 10000000% Clint Boyer is the most underrated driver in NASCAR hystory.

Well, i pulled for Craven in that great finish at Darlington back in 2003, but he was a no-count either. Glad that Mark had a great finish as well, and i agree Bowyer was underrated, and ill be the first to admit that, when RCR hired him in the Busch series, i thought he wouldnt amount to much, but he proved me wrong. I think Joey Logano is in alot of trouble and even though he was lucky to finish in the top 35 but i dont think he will be after Martinsville. Mears is still looking awful, but so is Harvick and i still believe they'll both be gone next season, but if Mears does happen to stay, he's going to have to pick it up. There will also be pressure on Mears to perform if Stephen Leicht runs well in the Holiday Inn Chevy this season in Nationwide, or if McMurray comes on the market, as RCR tried to hire him away last season from Roush, but the buyout for McMurray was too high. Also, Truex is more than likely to come out on the market as well and im sure RCR will be looking at him too.

CRJ, I told you at the beginning of the year that if Mark made the chase and Casey did not that I would apologize to you, I am a man of my word. I am SORRY. It looks like Mark could win the whole thing, and I truly hope he does, no one in nascar history deserves to win a the championship more than Mark Martin. I can't wait until mext year so I can talk more SH#T LoL.
