It's funny how every time someone implies that Hendrick may be feeling the sting of his decision you show up to point out that Jr's doing soo very well.
Leader in the points standings versus 4th place in standings. 8 wins to one. You think he doesn't wonder if that was the right decision every now and then. I would.
And he would only be human if he did wonder from time to time. I had thought that Mears would have been gone before Busch, but it didn't happen that way from HMS. What are you going to do?

As far as JR, he is doing much better than what he was last year, but Kyle is outperforming him in wins, and there is no denying that. On the other hand, I think that JR fits into HMS much better than K.B. ever did.

Maybe it was because Mears was JJ's best friend (and best man in his wedding)?

I think that Mears may have gotten fed up with the whole situation at HMS and that's part of the reason that he is leaving now.

Kind of like what Denny and Kyle will do next year if things turn sour for them.

Jr. has improved his standings over last season-but it's not like it would take alot to do that. At the press conference when he announced his decision he said the only true measure would be getting back into victory lane.
The season has showed how well that's played out..
And as far as getting rid of Tony Jr. changing things, didn't they try that at DEI once and it didn't work?
Well when you hear Dale on the radio you can't really understand him so ya need someone of his caliber, and understanding to well understand him ya know what mean.

SHR is a spin off of HMS. RH and Chevy are going to do everything possible to make it a contender.
SHR is NOT a "spin off" of HMS.

They buy equipment from them.

Why would RH do "everything" to make SHR a "contender"

Why would RH want more compition against HMS.

How does that make sense?

I wouldn't doubt if in 2010 when the Nationwide series goes to the new car than somehow JRM & SHR merge to become Jr/Steward Racing with Haas being completely out of the picture. Jr has already said that if the Nationwide series goes to the COT then there is no sense in not moving his cars up to the Cup series which he can't with HMS as partners. This would give them a 4 car team. Perfect solution.
Now you're just live a pipe dream.

It's just that, my theory (no proof). Not living in a pipe dream here. Trust me, I have better things to dream about than racing. But then again, I don't "Dream" too often.. I'm more of a doer than a dreamer.

Why do people think that Mr H walks around boo hooing the fact that he dumped Kyle????? I certainly think that if Mr Hendrick wanted to keep him, he would have. Junior is doing great, not as good as Kyle has been, but he has been the top car at HMS for most of the year and I quite sure that Mr H doesn't regret it in the least letting Kyle go.
Jr nation is in denial take the rose colored glasses off it's best to accept Jr didn't pan out like Jr nation wants him to. Not to late to be a smoke fan.
